Job purpose/role
As an integral part of the ESG Implementation department at Allianz Investment Management SE you will be supporting the global ESG in Investments team, with a focus on research, writing and corporate engagement. You will contribute to the  dissemination of ESG and sustainability expertise across our business by writing and generating content, and also supporting our corporate ESG engagement program through corporate research and developing best practice reports on ESG topics. We actively integrate ESG aspects in our global portfolio and expect you to have prior knowledge and interest in sustainability related topics, experience in business and finance is a welcomed asset. 

 

We welcome applications from students that are in the advanced stages of their degree and that are seeking a working student or internship role (or combination of both), for six months or longer. 


Key responsibilities

  • Support internal ESG related projects and processes with content creation, creative writing, report writing and possibly video editing
  • Perform research and analyses of companies’ ESG performance, flagged sustainability concerns, or other thematic topics related to businesses impact on society and the environment
  • Track progress and follow up on engagement commitments with respective internal stakeholders 
  • Coordinate, prepare and debrief engagement calls including pre call planning and research, drafting meeting minutes and record keeping, assessing outcomes and preparing follow up topics 
  • Ad-hoc requests (e.g. preparation of presentations, short reports)
  • Maintenance of the department-specific information platforms (Allianz Connect, SharePoint)


Key requirements / Skills / Experience

  • Advanced stage of your degree in Business Administration, Political Science, Environmental Science or similar with a genuine interest in sustainability topics and climate change mitigation. 
  • Experience in a business environment and understanding of finance and capital markets is a plus. 
  • Very good knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word. 
  • Strong research and writing skills in English, with the ability to interpret data and repackage it into written reports or power point presentations with a cohesive narrative for senior management. 
  • Excellent team player and enjoy working in an international environment and comfortable interacting with a variety of internal and external senior stakeholders
  • Good academic grades and professional fluency in English.


Additional Information 

You must be registered as student for the entire duration of the internship/ working student job.

 

Entry date at 01.06.2022 or later (flexible for the right person), ability to work fulltime for a part of the job duration is preferred.
