Do you want to shape environmental protection at Allianz? Then join the Allianz SE Environment Office as an intern for Environment Management now! 

Located at Allianz headquarters in Munich, our mission is to optimize internal business processes and operations to contribute to sustainable workplace and reduce our carbon footprint. In this transformation journey, sustainabiliy and change management are essential ingredients and we are looking for a creative communicator, networker, facilitator and peoples person who will inspire others to join the journey. You will be working together with the environment team coordinating and communicating current and future projects, gathering data and raising environmental awareness on our intranet platform.

 

Your key responsibilities will be the following:

You will work in a diversified and challenging environment, which allows very active involvement with increasing responsibilities in a small team structure. You will be invited to contribute with your ideas, energy and experiences to shape evironmental protection at Allianz. 

 

• Supporting the Local Environment Officer in initiating, organizing and coordinating actions for continuous improvement of environmental performance and CO2-reduction of AZSE operations.
• Assisting in organization of environmental assurance and data collection processes.
• Supporting in maintaining the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
• Planning and organizing change mnagement and communication campaigns and local events to raise awareness of climate change and environmental risks and opportunities amongst Allianz' stakeholders with focus on employees.
• Preparing internal communications material (writing/editing/proof reading of texts), including maintenance of intranet pages.
• Cooperating with different departments and international project teams. 
• Typing, compiling, and preparing presentations/newsletter/other communications materials in English.
• Aligning communications material with key stakeholder groups.

 

Qualification
(education, trainings, certificates, special IT skills - e.g coding languages + specific software skills, language skills, etc.):

 

• You are currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in Sustainability, Environmental and Engineering Sciences, Communications, Management or Business Psychology. (You must be enrolled at a university for the whole period of employment.)
• MS Office skills (word, excel, powerpoint).
• Knowledge in the fields of environmental protection, sustainability, energy efficiency and waste management.
• Team player with excellent intercultural and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).

 

Experience & Key skills
(relevant professional experience, years of experience, soft skills, etc.):

 

• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in German and English. 
• Organizational skills with the ability to drive several projects.
• Previous familiarity with intranet technologies.
• Social Media know-how.
• Experiences with Change Management projects.
• Ability to think and act independently and to quickly adapt to new problem settings and situations.
• Proactive, flexible and energetic team player with a personal interest in sustainability issues.
• Further experience in corporate eco-efficiency and environmental stewardship is desirable.
