Job Purpose/Role
Group Data Analytics (GDA) is a department in Allianz's global headquarters. We shape Allianz's strategic
agenda for Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI), and building Data Analytics and AI solutions at scale,
across the entire Allianz Group. Our mission is to add tangible value to our business by creating future growth
and productivity, and promote data-driven transformation.
The Data Intelligence Team of Group Data Analytics has the mission to make Allianz fit for future by using the
full potential of data for our business. Its ultimate goal is that every business process should leverage data to
maximize efficiency, effectiveness and customer centricity. We do this by driving activities in three pillars:

  • Business Data Improvement: "Seek, Secure and Improve Data for Data Use Cases"
  • Data Value Extraction: "Use Data and Evolve Allianz' Business Model"
  • Predictive BI: "Create relevant business Insights"

 

We are looking for Insurance Data Hunters for our new Data Intelligence team, supporting Business Data
Improvement activities. The Insurance Data Hunter will provide expertise in the insurance data domain and
implement solutions to exploit data and its usage in insurance processes. End-goal is to co-develop concrete
action steps towards data improvement measures for the underlying data challenge. To do so, you will guide
the project team to understand the underlying core goals, data needs, metrics, processes, and existing
best-practices. The Insurance Data Hunter will work in an interdisciplinary team reporting directly to the Head of Business Data Improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities
You will:

  • Focus on generating impact by implementing data improvement measures along the insurance value chain
  • Analyze the cause of data inconsistencies/unavailability in a specific use case and recommending improvements
  • Run impact analysis of missing data and poor data quality on business core processes and feasibility of potential analytics solutions
  • Provide subject-matter expertise for core insurance domains to outline and understand the core
  • (data-related) problems and its causes
  • Help to develop a comprehensive and scalable blueprint approach on how to solve similar challenges and up-level this domain by better making use of data
  • Identify potential improvements in data usage on a specific business use case and initiate functional changes

 

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
Qualification

  • Bachelor´s/Master's degree in Science / Engineering / Economics / Business Administration
  • Broad knowledge about insurance dynamics (Allianz knowledge of advantage), transformation programs, and dependencies
  • Broad insurance domain knowledge (e.g. data in use, goals, metrics, and best-practices)
  • Experience in Data Management and/ or Data Analytics
  • Project management experience in data and transformation projects
  • Basic understanding or strong interest in data analytics/AI
  • Fluency in English is required, additional languages are a plus

 

Experience & Key skills

  • 3+ years of professional in-depth experience in the insurance business
  • Drive with out-of-the-box-thinking, result-oriented, customer-focused, proactive
  • Willing to 'go the extra' mile for our customers, partners and other business units
