Job Purpose/ Role

 

We are recruiting an Analyst / Associate – Sustainability / ESG (f/m/d) who will support in driving the Allianz Real Estate (ARE) sustainability / ESG approach. In this role, you will both focus on ARE’s own operations as well as the investment portfolio and will have a broad exposure to sustainability- / ESG-related topics across a diversified global real estate portfolio as part of a multinational business environment.

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Support the further development and implementation of the Sustainability / ESG approach
  • Specific focus on driving ESG analytics and reporting, incl.
    • Coordinate sustainability data management and data collection programs
    • Steer ESG-related reporting initiatives (e.g. EU Taxonomy disclosure)
    • Develop management reporting and client communication
  •  Managing sustainability in the context of ARE’s own operations incl.
    • Regularly monitoring of the environmental / sustainable performance
    • Annual collection and preparation of required data and information
    • Preparing action plans with relevant measures and activities to achieve environmental / sustainable targets and supporting its implementation
  • Carry out ESG-related portfolio analyses as well as benchmarking of sustainability / ESG performance
  • Drive selected ESG projects (depending on expertise and business needs)
  • Initiate and conduct research on relevant ESG issues
  • Support in the preparation and follow-up of meetings, workshops and presentations as well as Sustainability / ESG guidelines and training material

 

Key requirements:

 

  • Advanced graduate degree in Real Estate, Sustainability, Environmental Management, Finance or Economics
  • Knowledge of real estate investments processes or asset management in general is appreciated
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; highly proficient in Excel
  • Detail-oriented with robust quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills and a high level of accuracy
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Hands-on-mentality and persistence to carry out projects and tasks
  • Enjoys working in a dynamic multicultural business environment
  • Fluency in English is a prerequisite; good level in German is appreciated
