We are looking for an ESG Analyst and Structurer to join our Alternative Risk Transfer team based in London.

Your Team 
In Alternative Risk Transfer (ART), we create innovative tailored structured insurance, captive reinsurance and other non-traditional risk management solutions for a wide range of corporate clients and the public sector globally. We specialize in helping our customers mitigate their most complex risks with bespoke multi-year and multi-line agreements covering a broad range of risks, leveraging our expertise in alternative risk transfer and the global capabilities of the Allianz Group. We operate through AGCS offices in Zurich, Liechtenstein, London, New York, Bermuda, and Singapore.

The Impact You Will Have 
In this role you will be responsible for developing innovative tools to analyze, model, structure and price new insurance solutions within ART's ESG and Sustainability Solutions mandate. You will use your analytical skills and expertise to support the ART Head of ESG and Sustainability to develop this new, innovative business segment. 

As a member of the ART Portfolio Steering and Pricing team, you will work closely with the ART Head of ESG and Sustainability, underwriters, actuaries, cat modelers, business analysts, as well as ESG and sustainability Solutions stakeholders in the Allianz group.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Development of new modelling and analysis tools. You will define the right tools to enable the relevant solutions to be underwritten and executed, research relevant data and pricing mechanisms and align with current tools and pricing methodology.
• Drive research of relevant markets and risks, and lead relevant projects/initiatives.
• Interact with external stakeholders including clients and brokers supporting the development of the ESG and Sustainability Solutions.
• Ensure- e.g. through trainings and presentations -- that the wider ART community, including Underwriters and other functions, are aware of developments in the ESG and Sustainability Solutions business segment, and use the relevant tools effectively and efficiently.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• Experience in Climate Science, Transition Technology or Carbon Markets; underwriting, analysis and modelling
• Experience in the corporate insurance or reinsurance industry (general insurance, P&C), with an understanding of commercial lines insurance or reinsurance products; experience in structuring of transactions is an asset
• Data analysis skills, including time series, relevant for nat cat and weather (climate) related  insurance covers
• Stochastic loss modelling and technical pricing experience
• Knowledge of parametric insurance concepts and products
• Coding skills (e.g. Python, R, QGIS)
• Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively in respect to the audience / level of management (both verbal and in writing)
• The ability to positively influence others' actions, decisions, opinions or thinking resulting in positive outcomes. Ability to persuade and motivate others without direct authority
• Fluent English language skills
