Job Purpose/Role 

Global Product Management is a new function within NEW AGCS to drive consistent Product Development as well as bringing a focused approach to building within Technical Excellence (TEX) enhanced coverage/ wordings best practice across Corporate & Specialty. This function will focus on 3 core dimensions to help deliver improvement across AGCS: the first is helping to drive better consistency via a new AGCS Product Model (via Allianz Product Laboratory), the second is working with the UW, Pricing, Portfolio and Claims functions to drive more data/ analytics and wordings excellence across all AGCS products and the third is helping enable new insurance UW ecosystems and/ or partnerships working in collaboration with the lines of business.


In this newly created role, you will guide Allianz Product Laboratory (APL) approach for Large Corporate & help ensure harmonized APL methodology applied to all Product Design, Architecture and Processes working within Global Product Management but also supporting UW in helping to enable this for specific Products. You will also support leadership in APL implementation and maintenance, particularly in cooperation with IT. You will contribute to harmonisation of product elements and to development of global taxonomies. Represent the GPR in APL Community discussions with AZ Group H10/ H4.



In this role you will…

•    Structure the existing products into APL methodology with the consequent implementation of the designed products into APL-system (GOST) and ensuring downstream of the defined concept into all relevant insurance specific systems. Support IT implementation of APL-based products into Platforms. Contribute to harmonization of product elements and to development of global taxonomies.    
•    Ensure the appropriate harmonised data modelling and data management based on the APL methodology with account for LoB and OE specifics. Support reduction of product-related legacy.
•    Establish capabilities and promote the use of APL. Contribute to development of APL tools.
•    Compile, analyse, and interpret product-related information from both internal and external sources.
•    Support CUO LoB(s) for consistent granular product-related data. Strong goal-oriented alignment with UW across all LoBs to facilitate harmonized and modular products for the company. Maintain Digital Product Library and secure sustainable Unified Product Architecture.         
•    Support Global Pricing Actuaries and Claims for consistent pricing and loss allocation per coverage. Support portfolio management with appropriate product-related KPIs.    
•    Analyse products and processes to achieve and improve the ACM compliance and certification of the existing and newly developed products. Ensure development of new products fulfilling ACM principles and philosophy.
•    Participate in strategic LoB-wide, cross-LoB, -function projects and initiatives by providing support and coordinating activities.    


To be successful in the role:


You will have…

•    Degree in Finance / Law or Business and/or IT background
•    Preferably at least 3 years’ experience in International Underwriting P&C Business
•    Understanding of relevant risk and financial analysis of industrial underwriting cases
•    Ability to analyse highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire, ability to quickly identify guiding principles in complex scenarios


Ideally you will also have…


•    Experience in analyse and manage product related-data across LoBs    
•    Understanding of IT architecture, data modelling of complex insurance applications incl. APIs with external providers. Model thinking capability    
•    Successful track of working in international complex matrix environments, project experience
•    Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally.  Ability to "sell" an improvised or prepared audience winning story
