Job Purpose/Role


The Global Head of the Multinational Market Practice, is an insurance solution expert responsible for managing the AGCS multinational value proposition and supporting client and partner relationship development. Reporting to the Global Heads of Multinational and Distribution you will work closely with all Regional distribution teams, Multinational units and Market Management.


As an expert in Multinational solutions and offerings, you own the content of the Multinational market value proposition and are the “go to” expert for Multinational advice and guidance from the client perspective. Leading a small global team of similar experts and through interaction with the regional client service teams, you will support Key Account Management and Underwriting to drive market share, growth and retention. You will build a team of multinational technical experts to improve business development and deal conversion. Through a strong focus on client needs, industry trends and product development and solution orientation you will develop the AGCS multinational offering to become best in class. Through effective relationship management and understanding global client requirements for their international insurance programs you will optimise service level agreements, pricing and provide insight and guidance to client service on where to improve fulfilment.


Key Responsibilities

In this role you will…

  • Lead a global Multinational market practice team to provide deal teams and underwriting with the breath of support required to deliver complex controlled master insurance programs
  • Monitor and advise on global trends in multinational, captive and IIP demand
  • Work with Marketing and distribution teams to create and implement an overarching sales & marketing strategy for the UK Multinational team
  • Work with the Market Management function to include Multinational insurance KPIs within the account management process and planning and advise on appropriate SLAs and pricing given the global network capabilities
  • Implement a “best in class” Multinational Customer Journey for UK clients and continuously improve this based on segment and offering
  • Provide expert support for all functions responsible for the sale, delivery and service of international insurance solutions, in an effort to improve our client relationships
  • Work hand in hand with Key Account Managers to be aware of any client servicing concerns or NPS feedback both anticipating and addressing issues to ensure high retention levels and low customer escalations
  • Participate in client meetings, road shows and marketing events, to promote the Multinational team’s global insurance capabilities
  • Drive the Broker relationship strategy for Multinational insurance, working closely with the Broker Management team
  • Communicate the Allianz Multinational insurance value proposition to UK brokers and clients
  • Proactively seek client/broker feedback in an effort to implement a continuous improvement work environment
  • Communicate within AGCS to raise awareness of the developments within our Multinational Team and lead the Allianz Multinational events and conference agenda
  • Be the key contact person for Multinational Insurance for global brokers, in case of any concerns
  • Lead key local projects that have an impact on benchmarking client servicing performance to improve customer feedback and satisfaction levels
  • Steer the Multinational program end-to-end process to ensure quality service at all customer touchpoints
  • Manage the status of the key clients’ International Insurance Programs across the whole end-to-end multinational insurance process
  • Work on development of Multinational solutions and be the Product Owner for any client related digital interaction solutions and systems


Key Requirements

  • Significant experience of Market trends and demand in global insurance solutions specifically controlled master programs, captives and non-risk transfer
  • Solid experience implementing International Insurance Programs, with experience of Multinational Technician/account handling, Network management and fronting and key success factors in client service
  • Strong insurance and underwriting knowledge, experience in the London and International Insurance Market with clients and brokers
  • Have led initiatives across local/regional area(s) with a proven track record of success with a solution orientation and proactive approach
  • At ease working internationally across cultures, able to foster lasting relationships
  • Experience in public speaking and multiple stakeholder management and track record of events and campaign management
  • Excellent IT skills, preferably including Portals, industry solutions, and E2E platforms incorporating Risk engineering, pricing, underwriting, policy administration and claims
  • Project and change management capabilities
  • Able to express ideas and messages clearly to external and internal stakeholders from C level to all levels, both written and verbally
  • Strong analytical capabilities and workflow management
  • Capable of leveraging data and analytics to make business more efficient and effective
