Job Summary

Assist the Manager and the Compliance Department particularly in ensuring that the Company and its subsidiaries, AGIC and ALIM are in compliance with relevant laws and regulatory requirements including, Financial Services Act 2013, Policy Documents issued by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), Life Insurance Association of Malaysia (LIAM), Persatuan Insurans Am Malaysia (PIAM) and any other relevant regulatory bodies as well as the policies, procedures and standards of the Allianz Group.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive and reactive business oriented compliance advice to the organisation to enable the business to make informed commercial decisions;
  • Assist in performing Group Compliance Integrated Risk & Control System (IRCS) and Compliance Assurance of Risk and Effectiveness (CARE) Assessment and System of Governance (SOG) review based on requirements of Group Compliance, which includes preparing, documenting and presenting the IRCS, CARE and SOG results to management and Boards/Board Committees;
  • Assist in the monitoring of compliance with group policies in particular Solvency II policies;
  • Assist the immediate supervisor in identifying and monitoring level of compliance risk associated with the activities of the business/functions;
  • Conduct compliance reviews on areas as described in the Annual Compliance Plan;
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor and /or Head of Compliance.

Key Requirements

  • Possess good knowledge and solid experience in areas of conduct of business, corporate governance, regulatory risk and regulatory change.
  • Holds relevant tertiary education degrees/papers. Possession of related professional qualifications will be an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to engage regulators and also develop partnerships throughout the organisation.
  • Sound judgment, results oriented and forward looking individual with abilities to make good decisions and recommendations
  • A person with a high integrity, examplary ethical behaviour and having commitment to transparency.
