The Data Rights Team provides an operational supportive role to the AZUKI business and to the DPO function in Compliance. Working closely with business areas to identify potential privacy & data protection risks, process customer rights requests, subject access requests and potential data incidents. On a daily basis you will be required to ensure these processes run effectively and we evolve as a business to protect employee and customer data.

 

Your main role will be, supporting the business with the completion of Privacy Impact Assessments process (PIA) - identifying challenges and potential blockages and propose solutions for agreement with management.  We are looking for an individual to assist business areas in completing PIAs, provide advice and guidance regarding the accurate description of personal data processing operations and appropriate controls to ensure compliance with data protection legislation, including Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) requirements.

 

If you can demonstrate the ability to act on you own initiative, to identify solutions to problems and impact continuous improvement of processes, then this could be the role for you.  This position gives you the opportunity to develop expert knowledge in one or more business area, becoming an ambassordor  for increased business awareness of Data Protection topics and demonstrating best practice across the wider business.

 

Key Accountabilities:

Provide Operations support for data and document management – including but not limited to ensuring unstructured data management rules are followed and application of ASIDM in operations.
Acting as the Operations Privacy Champion, including the provision of first line data support to the Operations business area, including giving advice and guidance on data protection related matters as well as PIA support.
Preparing reports for local and general management as required.
Provide Support for the wider Data Rights Team when resource and capacity require.
Identify and progress Risks discovered in PIAs

 

This is role has a flexible hybrid persona meaning, your location will be a mix of both Guildford, Bristol and home working.  The requirement would be to do a minimum of 2 days per month and a maximum of 16 days per month in the office.


Skills & Experience:

• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple requests simultaneously
• Ability to manage expectations of stakeholders regardless of seniority
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interpret data and identify/assess risks
• General understanding of GDPR principles
• Ability to work in a team and independently as required
• Enthusiastic about tackling tasks adHOC to support the wider team

 

Qualifications:

• Data Protection qualification (eg PC.dp, CIPP/E), desirable but not essential
• Progress towards CII exams desirable but not essential.
