The Global Risk Management Function consists of approx. 50 FTE in over ten different countries. The department is structured in 6 teams covering the different investment risk areas, regions, operational risks, and governance topics.

You will shape and support the delivery of a comprehensive strategy for the Global Risk function in conjunction with functional team heads by constructively challenging the status quo and understanding sophisticated topics, translating them into simplified views.

This role is vital in ensuring that the Global Risk function not only meets current challenges but also anticipates future risks through innovative strategies and effective communication. By fostering a culture of proactive risk management and continuous improvement, the focus will be on delivering value to the organization while safeguarding its asset and reputation.

What you will do

• Work closely with the functional heads and other senior stakeholders to coordinate and supervise Risk Management initiatives and projects; this includes project management and documentation, following up on planning and results, and project prioritization
• Support the implementation of policies and regulatory initiatives that may impact and enhance the Risk Management framework
• Prepare and advance initiatives aimed at harmonizing processes and continuously increasing efficiency within the Global Risk function
• Prepare board/management presentations and briefing materials
• Act as an interface to internal and external stakeholders (incl. regulators and auditors) and promote an effective dialogue between the different regions and other departments (e.g. Investments, Technology, Operations & Products (TOP), Legal & Compliance) and foster collaboration cross-functionally and cross-regionally

What you bring

• Master's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration or related field (MBA or relevant certification preferred, such as FRM, PRM, or CFA)
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in different areas of Risk and Project Management
• Fluency in German and English required (any other languages would be highly beneficial)
• Proven understanding of the Asset Management value chain, including a basic knowledge of the underlying regulatory frameworks (knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry standards)
• Strong organizational and project management skills with a structured and organized approach as well as strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, in particular MS PowerPoint and MS Excel (Power BI knowledge will be plus)
• Strong understanding of risk management principles, methodologies, and regulatory requirements
• Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Team-player mindset and ability to collaborate and work optimal with various departments in an international, diverse and highly interdisciplinary environment
• Experience in implementing frameworks in asset management or broader financial industry context is a plus
