We are looking for you! In line with the ever-evolving IT risk landscape, Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) is continuing to invest in our information risk management capabilities. As part of this, we are looking to recruit an Information Risk Manager (f/m/d) to drive our capability in this challenging, rewarding and dynamic environment. 

This role is based in Frankfurt.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Part of our wider IT team, the Information Risk Manager will lead our Information Risk Management programme, developing our framework and control catalogue for information risks (comprehensively mapping controls to risks, etc.), handling and delivering regulatory/control initiatives in accordance with regulatory requirements and working with various partners to continually handle those risks, including delivering training on information risk topics and completing risk assessments. Your responsibilities will consist of both the day-to-day duties and project management of key initiatives. This role will be an even blend of stakeholder management, program management, as well as technical control design. 

  • Continuously develop our information risk management framework and control catalogue for the IT department, evaluating regulatory requirements and formulating controls as required.
  • Work with various parties to map risks to controls, conduct risk and control assessments, drive risk mitigation actions, documenting, tracking and reporting as required
  • Maintain a programme of continuous reporting across IT
  • Advance and report all information risk and regulatory compliance issues as required
  • Be the primary point of contact with both internal (Risk Management, Audit, Data Privacy, etc.) and external partners (External Audit, Regulators, etc.) for information risk topics
  • Maintain a proficient level of knowledge across key technologies in use at AllianzGI (Windows, Mobile, Linux, Virtualisation, Network, Cloud, etc. and at the OS, Middleware and Application levels)
  • Provide advice and training as required to our teams to ensure that the controls they implement meet all objectives

 

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

 

You have a keen interest in information risk management for a global organisation. Given the exposure, you need to be experienced in and prepared to interact with senior management. The ideal candidate will have relevant skills and experience encompassing: 

  • Strong technology background and risk management experience, including regulatory requirements (e.g. from BaFin, MAS, SEC, etc.)
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of the primary technologies in use at AllianzGI, and a validated knowledge to research and learn emerging technologies
  • Good skills of Information Security and managing risk, as well as experience in developing solutions to mitigate risk
  • Experience in working with diverse global teams, as well as excellent communication skills (communicating and reporting sophisticated technical concepts to business and risk partners)
  • Experience interacting direct with senior stakeholders (C-Suite, Board and Regulators), as well as a broad knowledge of financial services
  • A primary degree in Information Technology is beneficial, as well as a Masters Degree and/or specific industry qualifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, etc.) which are directly related to IT operational risk management
  • Several years of experience in direct risk management, compliance, regulatory or audit experience is required
  • Experience handling multiple concurrent projects and priorities
  • Excellent social and interpersonal skills and ability to develop a network in a short amount of time
  • Fluent in English, additional language skills are a plus
