We are looking for you! We are currently hiring a forward-thinking and results-oriented UK-/EU-qualified lawyer (f/m/d) to join our Products Legal team. The position is based in our Frankfurt office.

 

The Products Legal team advises on the launch and life-cycle management of the European Allianz Global Investors fund range and the eligibility of assets acquired on behalf of our fund range. In addition, the Products Legal team provides legal advice on legal documentation of transactions entered on behalf of our clients. As a member of an international team with colleagues in London, Paris and Frankfurt am Main, you will be working independently and employing a high level of legal expertise.

 

Key Responsibilities

You will provide legal advice to business on the following matters:

  • Provide legal support and advice to the Allianz Global Investors investment platform with regard to the legal documentation of derivatives, structured products and similar instruments
  • Draft and negotiate legal documentation of derivatives, structured products and similar instruments (e.g. ISDA, CSA, GMRA and related documentation) for funds and mandates managed by the Allianz Global Investors investment platform
  • Review and analyse legally regulatory developments with regard to derivatives, structured products and similar instruments
  • Monitor and reflect the regulatory and business requirements with regard to the full product range of an asset manager (e.g. UCITS, AIF, segregated accounts) with a focus on derivatives, structured products and similar instruments. This may include EU and UK regulation

 

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

  • Fully qualified lawyer (UK/EU) with professional experience in a leading international law firm or as legal counsel in banking/asset management or in a similar role
  • Strong drafting skills
  • Ability to communicate complex issues clearly in both oral and written form to colleagues with no legal background, cross-border and on different reporting levels
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, dedicated disposition and ability to multi-task, high degree of flexibility and commitment
  • Evidence of implementing pragmatic solutions (for clients or in-house) in order to deliver commercially acceptable results for the business
  • Collaborative approach
  • Proficiency in English, German is a plus
