We are looking for you! We are currently hiring a forward-thinking and results-oriented Senior Strategic Procurement Officer (f/m/d) who will be responsible for IT category strategy and relationship management globally. This position is based in our Frankfurt office.

Within this role you will be developing our relevant category strategy with respective partners, convert strategies into action plans and drive the execution of the objectives aligned with the business and company objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement our procurement strategy in IT category contributing to our objectives
  • Improve and extend current value chain systems and contract negotiations as well as relationship management for all our major suppliers
  • Conduct sourcing activities, including but not limited to: Spend analysis, benchmarking, supply market analysis, vendor analysis, RFX building, negotiations, baseline analysis, contracting and building business cases
  • Develop and drive cost reduction initiatives to meet the company targets and identify the best solutions to provide long-term value to the business
  • Run end-to-end vendor lifecycle, including identification, onboarding, performance measurement, (strategic) development, relationship-management, offboarding
  • Optimize our supplier portfolio
  • Act as a key accountant manager delivering high value-adding services to our internal clients and as first point of contact for various internal and external partners
  • Ensure reporting of results and actions and communication at all levels


Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Legal, Finance, IT or related field of study
  • Ideally 5+ years experience in procurement
  • Strong experience in strategic buying, in developing sourcing category strategies and in executing complex transactions in IT category area
  • Experience with SAP Ariba procurement tools (Ariba Contract management, Ariba SLP etc.) is an advantage
  • Experience in IT project structures, business case production and review, included but not limited to scoping, pricing models utilized, performance measurements including setting service standards, SLAs and associated critical metrics
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of negotiating cost savings from high volume deals
  • Ability to analyze the market and gather knowledge regarding market conditions and supply/demand drivers
  • Strong relationship management skills and consistent track record in strategically advising and driving internal business clients and their strategies
  • Solid awareness/understanding of market innovations and how to apply these innovations to drive impactful sourcing strategies relevant to the IT space
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Adaptation skills, independent self-starter and problem solver with an entrepreneurship demeanor
  • Proficient in English and German
