Motor Damage Claims Handler

The Motor Claims Handler will deliver excellent standards of customer service through high quality and efficient handling of policyholders claims. This role is based in Allianz House, Elm Park, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, and reports to the relevant Claims Business Manager.

During initial training period, you will be given extensive training in the office and once fully trained, there is a minimum requirement to attend the office 2 days a week.
- Analysis of first notification of Own Damage and Third Party liability claims
- Pro-active treatment and settlement of claims
- Management of a claim’s portfolio, and handles all claims within the all appropriate service levels, and in a compliant manner
- Identification of potentially fraudulent cases and recovery cases
- Ability to work flexibly in the Motor Claims Team to meet customer needs
- Performs unit administration duties
- Requisitions and may authorise cheques as required within company guidelines
- Undertakes special projects or assignments as required
Essential Criteria
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Motor Claims Handling Customer facing role
- Proven knowledge of contracts of insurance, particularly motor policies
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence internal and external customers
- Experience in a Customer facing role, maintaining standard of quality whilst providing outstanding Customer Service
- MCC qualified/ grandfathered in Personal & Commercial Lines (see below)
- Completed an APA, CIP or a relevant insurance qualification to meet MCC requirements
- Relevant third level qualificatiom
