Job Purpose/Role:
The successful candidate will become a member of the Bodily Injury Claims teams and work within Liability Bodily Injury team in our Dublin office. The role will involve the pro-active handling and management of a portfolio of bodily injury and liability claims from notification through to settlement up to High Court level including claims within our Claims Relationship Management (CRM) service
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactive management of claims while demonstrating outstanding customer service at all times, to both internal & external customers
- Handle claims in line within Allianz’s claims handling requirements and relevant regulatory requirements e.g. Consumer Protection Code, GDPR etc.
- Contribute to running a comprehensive CRM service that includes client review meetings and presentations
- Handle litigation files that will require Court attendance for hearings, settlement and other consultations
- Manage and prioritise daily work flow to ensure customer charters are met
- Interpret and establish policy cover
- Evaluate liability through desktop investigation and the instruction of external resources
- Evaluate Allianz's potential financial exposure on an ongoing basis to ensure that each claim is adequately reserved for
- Negotiate settlement of claims directly with claimants and/or solicitors
- Identify instances of potential fraud; escalating cases to the SIU team where appropriate
- Build and maintain effective internal and external relationships
- Contribute to the overall technical excellence and learning within the liability bodily injury team and the wider bodily injury department
Experience & Qualifications
Essential Qualifications/Experience:
- CIP, Dip CII, Grandfathered or ACII qualification
- A minimum of 5 years’ bodily injury claims handling experience including litigated files
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Third level qualification
- Experience in handling bodily injury claims for both lability and motor lines of business
- Experience in managing corporate clients
