Job role

Reporting to the head of Data Management and Analytics, you will join the team as data Steward. Focus area is creation and alignment of data standards and definitions to facilitate and maintain a consistent use of data across our global organization. In addition to this, you will be exposed to all aspects of data governance, including setting up framework, executing the Data Governance process and collaborating with other business functions to align definitions and reference data. In the function, you will participate in all related data projects across the wider company and provide support to the data owner and coordinate any change efforts around the terms.

What you will do

• Represent Data Owner in discussing and alignment for harmonization of terms
• Establish harmonized definitions for critical business terms. Data items in scope are worldwide insurance risk data for commercial business collected from local Allianz entities as well as from various data domains.
• Align global reference values as unique source
• Help define ownership and execute governance processes.
• Work with Data Quality Lead on developing and implementing comprehensive monitoring. It includes setting ambition levels with regard to priorities, data completeness, quality rules, quality KPI as well as accessibility and data fitness assessments for all data in ownership
• Perform data quality assessments and ad-hoc analysis, initiate and monitor corrective measures.
• Actively facilitate the communication process between business functions & Group divisions during alignment phases and later changes and updates.
• Strongly collaborate across global functions and projects

What you bring

• Insurance experience essential - Understanding of underwriting practice for industrial risks and corporate business on a global basis and /or previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Pricing, Actuarial, etc.) is a plus
• Several years of relevant job experience in insurance or data space
• Good team spirit and collaborative working style
• Ability to interact in a global and diverse work environment
• Project Management skills: Ability to define scope, agree on timeframes and execute deliverables with internal and external clients with minimal additional guidance
• Strong professional communication skills: Technical depth and ability to communicate with required levels / functions internally and externally in a global environment
• Strong solution orientated mindset
• Fluent English language skills
