Job role

 

We are seeking a talented and experienced Business Data Architect to join our organization. The Business Data Architect will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data architecture solutions that align with our business goals and objectives. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, analyzing business requirements, and translating them into effective data models and structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data architecture principles, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 

What you will do

 

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements, identify data-related opportunities, and define data architecture strategies.
  • Analyze and document business processes, data flows, and information needs to develop effective data models and structures.
  • Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models that align with business objectives, data governance principles, and industry best practices.
  • Define data standards, data naming conventions, and data classification schemes to ensure consistency and data integrity.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, data engineering, and analytics teams, to implement data architecture solutions.
  • Conduct data profiling and data quality assessments to identify data issues, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate data management technologies, tools, and platforms to support the organization's data architecture needs.
  • Provide guidance and support in data integration, data migration, and data transformation activities.
  • Monitor and assess the performance and scalability of data architecture solutions, recommending optimizations as needed.
  • Stay current with emerging data technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data architecture and data management.

 

 

What you bring

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Business Data Architect or in a similar role, designing and implementing data architecture solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data modeling techniques, and data management concepts.
  • Proficient in data modeling tools and languages (e.g., ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, SQL, etc.).
  • Experience with relational databases, data warehouses, and data integration technologies.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality principles, and data lifecycle management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical data solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and technologies is a plus.
  • Certification in data management or data architecture is desirable.
