As a Property Underwriter in our Copenhagen office, you will be part of our AGCS Nordic team consisting of highly professional and experienced people, and you will be in close contact with our customers and brokers. We expect you to have strong technical capabilities within Property underwriting – but the real key is that you are the right person.

 

Reporting into the Regional Head of Property Underwriting, you will be working within the Regional Unit London (RUL: UK and Nordics) team of specialist underwriters.

 

Responsibilities

 

In this role you will…

  • Support the development and execution of the regional underwriting strategy
  • Underwrite in line with the Property governance framework
  • Understand New AGCS strategy and global Property dynamics
  • Underwrite profitable new and renewal business
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers
  • Negotiate price and terms and conditions with insurance brokers
  • Working closely with our Distribution teams and Key Account Managers, as well as with other lines of business, you will identify a suitable pipeline and cross-sell opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients in partnership with the Distribution team
  • Support internal underwriting teams in the RUL region
  • Work with your team to identify key personal development and training needs
  • Ensure accurate policy documentation is issued and filing is maintained through a close working relationship with Operations and Cat Modelling teams

 

To be successful in the role:

You will have….

  • Over 2 years’ experience of global Property business in a similar context to that of AGCS
  • A good understanding of global Property products, pricing principles and portfolio drivers
  • Strong communication skills and team spirit; you are proactive
  • Confident skills in Excel and the Office package, and be at ease with data
  • Fluency in English, and Danish
  • An interest in leveraging data and analytics to make business more efficient and effective

 

Ideally you will also have…

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • Proven success in data analytics
