Job Purpose/Role
Would you be interested in working as an underwriter for one of the world’s leading insurance companies? We are looking for a Liability Underwriter for Allianz Global Corporate and & Specialty (AGCS) – this time for our office in Copenhagen.

You will be a part of our AGCS Nordic team consisting of highly professional and experienced people, and you will be in close contact with our customers and brokers. We expect you to have strong technical capabilities within Liability underwriting – but the real key is that you are the right person.

Reporting directly to the Head of Liability Nordics, you will be working within the Regional Unit London and Nordics team of specialist underwriters.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of the regional underwriting strategy
  • Underwrite in line with the Liability governance framework
  • Understand New AGCS strategy and global Liability dynamics
  • Underwrite profitable new and renewal business
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers
  • Negotiate price and terms and conditions with insurance brokers
  • Working closely with our Distribution teams and Key Account Managers, as well as with other lines of business, you will identify a suitable pipeline and cross-sell opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients in partnership with the Distribution team
  • Support internal underwriting teams in the RUL region
  • Work with your team to identify key personal development and training needs
  • Ensure accurate policy documentation is issued and filing is maintained through a close working relationship with the Operations team.


Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree or relevant insurance industry education.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience of Liability business in a similar context to that of AGCS
  • Good understanding of Liability products and portfolio
  • Proactive mindset
  • Strong communication skills and team spirit
  • Good use of Excel and Office package
  • Fluent in English, and Danish
  • Capable of leveraging data and analytics to make business more efficient and effective
