Role Purpose: The Accounts Payable Supervisor will oversee an accounts payable team, direct the processing of invoices and payments, and manage expense accounts and budget reports.                        

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of Accounts Payable and reconciling and recording of transactions. 
  • Motivate, challenge and develop skills for your team (Accounts Payable) by promoting team building atmosphere. Encourage and assist staff in their performance and development through individual operational targets, metrics against service level agreements and formal / informal training programs.      
  • Responsible for appropriate management reporting and day to day workflow management.  This will include review, track and report against agreed service levels or targets and effectively managing these service levels within the team.   
  • Harmonize policies, procedures and processes across lines of business. Ensure strong controllership by maintaining compliance and proper accounting controls.         
  • Responsible for the team's customer service: Regulators, Employees, Cost Center owners and vendors.      
  • Manages various accounts payable matters such as Funds transfer Module, Ariba, Concur. Recharges, tax agency notices, etc.      
  • Ensure that all IFRS, GAAP and Statutory accounting related to your area are accurate and timely.       

 

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance    
  • Thorough understanding of accounts payable functions
  • Ability to understand complex vendor invoicing arrangements and ensure accurate accounts payable processing. 
  • Expert knowledge and ability of SAP and Concur
  • Knowledge of 1099 and unclaimed property reporting 
  • 1-2 years’ experience managing a team     
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent supervisory and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working for an international organization, preferred
