The Protection and Resilience Officer coordinates the implementation and maintenance of the operational resilience domains (Business Continuity Management, IT Service Continuity Management, Protective Security Management, Global Incident Management and Crisis Management).

A Resilience Officer is  be assigned for each business pillar and local entity/region. The Resilience Officer can be supported by a network of experts to ensure operational resilience.

Responsibilities

  •  The Protection and Resilience Officer shall be responsible for performing the BCM lifecycle activities for the business pillar/entity. This includes:
    • Business Impact Analysis (BIA)
    • Risk Identification and Assessment (RIA)
    • Response Strategies
    • Response Planning
    • Exercise and Testing
  • The Protection and Resilience Officer is also responsible for the assurance of the business pillar’s compliance with the Protection & Resilience Policy and underlying documents, implementation and coordination of process requirements, awareness creation of Protection & Resilience within business pillar/local entity, report of self-assessment results from the business pillar/local entity to the Protection & Resilience Office and review of action plans to ensure adequate implementation within the business pillar/local entity.
  • The Resilience Officer monitors and reports incidents with crisis potential as well as status updates to the relevant department/country lead and AZ Technology Head of Protection & Resilience.
  • Ensure implementation on a local level of the Allianz Technology Protection & Resilience Policy as well as specifically the Allianz Technology Standard for Protective Security and Allianz Technology Standard for Operational Resilience;
  • The Protection and Resilience Officer shall regular participate in reviews being undertaken by Protection & Resilience Office
  • The Protection and Resilience Officer shall ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulation and local implementation of regulatory requirements
  • Primary contact with local regulators for topics in the applicable area The  Resilience Officer reports into executive management meetings or committees of the business pillar or local entity. Functional reporting is directed to the AZ Technology Head of Protection & Resilience.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the IT or related field
  • Multi-year professional experience in different Protection & Resilience domains
  • Good knowledge of relevant services and supplier relationships or central function processes
  • Basic knowledge of relevant regulatory environment and standards like: BSI (GER), ISO Standards, ITIL, COBIT, etc.
  • Strong communication and conflict management skills
  • Experience with crisis / emergency situations.
  • Recommended certifications: CBCP, CBCI, CBCM ISO 22301, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor or similar
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); other languages are a bonus
