Your Day at Allianz Ayudhya 

  • Underwriting File Reviews (UFRs) - Manage the end-to-end quality control of underwriting through formal reviews providing written analysis and trend reporting to senior management
  • Undertake position as Lead Reviewer for all UFRs, including managing the coordination and monitoring of assessments, reporting, and improvement outcomes resulting from UFRs
  • Manage reporting to Underwriting Committee on UFR outcomes and escalations if required
  • Underwriting Committee - Coordinate with Chief Technical Officer to ensure effective management of quarterly Underwriting Committee meetings. 
  • This role will have ownership of following up all deliverables, supporting continuous improvement and change management activities and projects.
  • Maintenance of Underwriting Guidelines (UWG) / Underwriting Authority (UWA) grids and letters
  • Coordinate with IT to ensure alignment between individuals' authority and system driving limits
  • Underwriting governance improvement actions - Effectively communicate and support implementation of local or group led changes to governance, ensuring correct local adoption and application in all instances
  • Act as point of escalation for any identified instances where local practices have deviated from governance requirements.  Escalation path through to Underwriting Committee or CTO, depend upon particular circumstances
  • Ensure effective collaboration to deliver business objectives with key internal business partners across the organization.
  • Communicate and coordinate with customers (both internal and external) to deliver high quality work in a timely manner.

Must Have

  • Bachelor degree or higher level in related fields
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Underwriting of Property or other Core LoB or In role as Auditor for P&C Insurance
  • Experience operating in or assessment of complex business processes

  • High attention to detail, methodical and structured approach to work practices
  • Strong communication skills in both assessing and delivering complex concepts
  • Detailed knowledge of insurance governance practices and application
  • IT knowledge (Basic MS Office application, database and internet based application)
  • Ability to work effectively across departments
  • Demonstrated consistency in approach
  • Fluent in English Language
