Department description
Global Business Procurement is responsible for the worldwide strategic procurement of services and products for the Allianz Group in the following categories: Non-IT Professional Services, Marketing / Communication and Insurance Procurement. We are aiming to build up a local team of experienced buyers in Barcelona to join our global team and to run global projects.
Working areas we are offering:
Non-IT Professional Services procurement focusing on Consulting Services, Legal Services, HR Services, Temp Labor, Outsourcing.
Marketing and Communication procurement focusing on Media and Digital Marketing (agencies).
Insurance Procurement focusing on claims providers such as European or global repair shop organizations, digital claims providers or sustainable claims topics.
Job Description
Analysis of national, regional and international procurement markets as well as benchmarking considering “best practice” and “total cost of ownership” approaches.
Conceptual design of cost reduction projects within the transferred commodities based on in depth analysis of spend figures to achieve the procurement goals as well as cost reduction targets.
Negotiate advantageous terms and conditions, create significant value to stakeholders for cost effectiveness, flexibility and efficiency of providers by coordinating the execution of end to end process.
Ensures compliance of supplier agreements to business specific requirement including company relevant legal terms & conditions and apply AZ group compliance and ESG guidelines.
Project management – also on C-Level: Strategic planning and implementation of global and local tenders with the involvement of various departments as well as national companies and management of project teams.
Manages the supplier relationship management of our global providers, contracts, KPIs and feedback sessions.
Works closely with the respective Allianz Business team in order to identify opportunities to improve performance and savings in the Allianz spend.
Creates new ways of working in Allianz's purchasing practice and to develop innovative negotiation methods.
Supports and advises the business departments on purchasing processes as well as the market situation and development, adaptation to the growing flexibility needs of the marketing departments
Structured application of methods of classic and agile project management.
Strategic spend analysis to achieve the best sourcing strategies and gain best value for money.
Close cooperation with key (senior) stakeholders, functional departments and procurement colleagues on a global level.
Candidate Profile/Requirements
Minimum of 3-5 years of working experience in procurement of an international operating company or in global project management in matrix organizations, where projects had a strong reputational impact. Ability to manage critical C-Level Projects.
Successfully completed master studies in a commercial or technical area.
Strong Experience on how to engage OEs (Operating Entities) to collaboratively fulfill Group Procurement and other overarching targets. Ability to influence others without authority.
Autonomous style of working. In the same time collaborative and team oriented. Ability to work under pressure.
Experience of working in environments with high complexity and proven analytical, strategic and management skills.
Competence to effectively align with different stakeholders and to cooperate with diverse internal and external senior audiences. Hands-on approach, involving the necessary skills / functions to successfully accomplish tasks and targets
Excellent communication skills in English. German skills welcome.
