Job Purpose/Role

The Corporate Transformation department is part of the Headquarters Organizational Management unit and is reporting into the Allianz Technology COO/CPO function. It drives the development and implementation of the Allianz Technology Global Operating Model.


The Organizational Development & Branch Office team within Corporate Transformation is supporting the Allianz Technology Executive Management Team to develop the Target Operating Model. It is responsible for the global implementation, maintenance and future refinement of the organizational structure to support the digital transformation and to become an agile company. Further it is responsible for the global coordination to standardize and harmonize the operations at all branches and subsidiaries to increase efficiency.


The job at Organizational Development combines two roles:

  1. Acting as Business Analyst to analyze, further develop, implement and maintain the corporate organizational structure jointly with the respective board function and regional management.
  2. Acting as Project Manager to assess the maturity of the branch operations (20+ countries) towards the Target Operating Model, to define the gap and to manage the implementation to become compliant. Further to support the IT transfers from the Allianz Insurance Companies into Allianz Technology by preparing the “readiness” of the branches and to coordinate the Post Transfer Integration.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the continuous development of the Target Operating Model and responsible for the documentation and global implementation
  • Leading of Organizational Transformation Squads to support specific board functions to enable functional steering on global level as well as continuous refinement of the structure and operating model (e.g. Finance, Operations, Business Applications, IT Infrastructure & IT Security, Regions). Squad members are Controlling, HR and board function representative.
  • Management / Steering of projects to set up the Operating Model for new branches incl. the sourcing concept for support functions, processes and tools according to the Target Operating Model
  • Coordination of defined measures to harmonize and standardize processes and tools at existing branches and subsidiaries incl. Post Transfer Integration of IT OE carve out into Allianz Technology
  • Plan, monitor, control and report project progress to program management governance and escalate issues if necessary
  • Identify, prepare and sanitize materials to be leveraged by other organizational transformation projects


Key Requirements:


  • Excellent university degree (master) in Business Economics or (Strategic) Management
  • 5-10 years work experience
  • Consulting background is a strong plus
  • Very good project management skills
  • Experience in organizational development (e.g. organizational structure and process design)
  • Experience in organizational change management and communication
  • Professional experience in large scale transformation projects
  • Experience in an international IT (shared service) company is a plus
  • Competence to exchange complex information with diplomatic tact and to cooperate with a diverse
  • internal and external audience including top management
  • Applying excellent analytical thinking, methodological and conceptual as well as moderation and presentation skills
  • High level of reliability, dedication and commitment
  • Ability to carry out tasks independently in non-standardized (ever-changing) work situations
  • Fluent proficiency in spoken and written English; preferably an additional foreign language
