Enterprise Architecture is the central architecture authority within Allianz Technology, the IT service provider for the Allianz Group.

Our responsibilities include defining guidelines and best practices, enabling strategic initiatives to find compliant and efficient solution architectures, reviewing solution architectures with strategic relevance, and fostering an active global architecture community. We work as a diverse, globally distributed virtual team and work with architects dispersed across the regions and functions of Allianz Technology. Working in a federated manner is both challenging and rewarding as goals are achieved through consistent communication, solid architectural foundations, and constructive collaboration between skilled individuals and teams with different cultures, different mindsets, and different ambitions; all working together to help make Allianz agile and efficient in its business operations.

You have a passion for application architecture. You have built and operated applications, you consider yourself a full-stack developer. You are familiar with the Java ecosystem, including the Spring frameworks, tools like Flyway or LiquiBase, and you know how to set up a DevSecOps/GitOps toolchain. JavaScript, Typescript, and Angular are familiar. Python, including data tools like numpy, scipy, or nltk are not strangers to you. You have used Kubernetes and the AWS/Azure cloud services to deploy applications. REST APIs and Kafka events feel natural to you but you know sometimes you still have to push files around as well. But now you want to move on: Instead of tending single applications or a small group of them, you want to shape the application landscape and overall application architecture of a global player. You have opinions. You want to work with other smart people and try turning the big ship and get it on the right course, as far as application architecture is concerned. You know how to convince and inspire people. You know how to turn failure into learning. You self-organize. You are a thought leader, not a follower. You are ready to level up.
