What you do:

 

Responsible for resolving tier (1 - 2) support problems on client devices of identified VIP customers. Provide support of hardware and operating systems, installation, configuration, and administration of workstations, notebook computers, VDI's, phones, handheld devices, and other client devices. This person must exhibit task and time management skills, oral and written communication skills, technical expertise, and dedication to resolve problems effectively and efficiently minimizing disruptions, and may share support of a 24-hour on-call rotation schedule for premier support end users as identified by management. This person must also exhibit the ability to successfully perform these responsibilities, complying with IT policies, procedures, and standards.

 

A successful candidate will have background in:

 

  • Analyze, install, develop, modify and maintain operating system software, and operations control software.
  • Resolve technical, operational and equipment problems of all severity levels and coordinate the use of external resources to resolve the most complex problems.
  • Serve as a resource for solving user and application problems and provide technical assistance and information to other Technical Services Personnel.
  • Prepare documentation for use by operations staff, application teams and business users and train them to use systems software and related hardware facilities.
  • Evaluate available hardware and software and make recommendations on products for end users as well as on system configurations.
  • Provide input into the technical approach to solve a business need.

 

What you bring:

Minimum Requirements:

 

6-7 years experience required:

  • Experience working with Windows XP/7 desktops/laptops
  • Working knowledge of Windows XP/7 Workstation Operating Systems and SCCM Software Distribution / Configuration Manager, as well as an understanding of Windows 2000/2008 Network Operating Systems
  • Experience working with Compaq / IBM workstations; Strong problem analysis, troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Four-year degree required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Info Systems / Business Admin, or specialized training / equivalent work experience.
