What’s your mission at Allianz?
To acquire nor not to acquire? To build or buy? To dispose or to restructure? Pursuing strategic opportunities is at the core of what our team does, and it includes everything from initial assessment to valuation, due diligence and negotiation. We work hand in hand with many actors inside and outside of the group, taking up the roles of advisor, project manager, sparring partner.

What’s your career progression?
My way to Allianz and to the M&A function has been anything but the typical one. For one I came to Allianz after positions in the aerospace industry and consulting outside the financial services area. And within Allianz I first worked in international controlling, then moved to a finance position in Shanghai before ultimately joining the M&A team.

What's surprising about your job?
Everybody who’s interested in M&A but has in mind some typical prejudices about a corporate M&A job would be surprised to see how high speed, rich and diverse M&A work is at Allianz. If you enjoy dealing with multiple geographies, businesses, people, solving challenges and creating impact, that’s definitely an attractive place to be.
