I started with Honors in Mathematics and then did my Masters in Meteorology, then transitioned into doing a PhD in Extreme Events and the Impacts of Climate Change. 
What I love about my job
I enjoy collaborating with subject matter experts, continually learning and expanding my expertise while linking science to business. As a meteorologist and climate specialist, I apply my knowledge of natural hazards and climate change impacts to real-world challenges, enhancing risk models, guiding strategic decisions and helping Allianz build resilience for future climate extremes.

Which reinsurance job fits your personality?

Do you like to work with numbers, solve tricky mathematical problems? Does the idea of working with intricate spreadsheets fill you with glee? Then you might be interested in working as a pricing actuary, data analyst, underwriter, or controller. Roles in these areas and others are central to the work at a reinsurance company.

Does building relationships excite you and give you a feeling of purpose? Then you might be interested in a job as a client manager, reinsurance buyer, broker relations manager or in business development. Working in reinsurance means interacting with a large network of people, including clients, brokers, and peer companies.

Are you a person who likes to think and act multilaterally, bringing all of the important pieces together? There is plenty to do in a reinsurance company for people with this skillset, from working in a governance role, connecting with colleagues from the entire Allianz Group to ensure that the work we do upholds to our high standards, including legal and regulatory standards, but also our own risk and compliance standards.
