Reports To:Head of Business Development AU/NZ ~crlf~~crlf~Within Euler Hermes, our Business Development Managers are required to achieve new business targets through managing a portfolio of specialist and general brokers, partners and clients across Australia, as well as developing new sales channels and growth opportunities.~crlf~We are looking for candidates based either in Brisbane or Sydney.

Reach targets of portfolio growth and quality :~crlf~~crlf~•Develop and manage new and existing brokers, partners and customers~crlf~•Create and convert a pipeline through Allianz intermediaries network and through banks and financial partners (insured/distribution routes)~crlf~•Develop and manage an effective distribution channel strategy in line with marketing plan~crlf~•Acquire new customers based on leads given by Market Management and generate own leads through direct and referral networks~crlf~•Identify cross- and up-selling opportunities~crlf~~crlf~Take personal responsibility for the implementation of company-wide quality of service standards :~crlf~~crlf~•Service existing brokers and partners based on established guidelines~crlf~•Interact closely with and work alongside other core functions~crlf~•Apply commercial underwriting standards to ensure the portfolio is profitable and sustainable~crlf~•Ensure that the underwritten clients and the intermediaries are in line with business compliance requirements~crlf~•Ensure compliance with the guidelines outlined in the Employment Contract~crlf~•Adhere to KYC, ESG and other regulatory and business requirements~crlf~~crlf~Critical Requirements :~crlf~~crlf~•Excellent presentation, written and verbal communications skills~crlf~•Market leading negotiation and influencing attributes~crlf~•Ability to develop and manage broker and partner relationships, generate new business opportunities and convert them into profitable long-term clients~crlf~•Adhere to commercial underwriting requirements and objectives~crlf~•Underwrite new business policies in line with business strategy and requirements concerning portfolio, price, structure and risk~crlf~~crlf~Leadership Behaviors:~crlf~~crlf~Internal leadership behavior:~crlf~•Build relationships with other core functions (i.e., Risk, Claims, Policy Administration)~crlf~•Balance commercial and underwriting objectives to company strategy~crlf~~crlf~External leadership behavior:~crlf~~crlf~•Convert leads into sales through ability to properly analyze prospect’s need and convince customers and brokers~crlf~•Proactive management of the pipeline~crlf~~crlf~

Market knowledge :~crlf~~crlf~•Expert know-how in specifics of credit insurance (desirable) and finance-related products ~crlf~•Ability to develop and manage an extensive network of brokers, banks, agents, market players and opinion leaders~crlf~~crlf~Business expertise:~crlf~~crlf~•Ability to generate and convert leads~crlf~•Expert knowledge in sales and negotiation skills~crlf~•Ability to understand prospective client’s business and assess the underlying risk~crlf~~crlf~Interpersonal skills:~crlf~•Ability to liaise with members of other core functions~crlf~•Ability to liaise with senior executives internally and externally~crlf~•Ability to convince and influence brokers, partners and prospective clients in negotiations~crlf~~crlf~Key Performance Indicators (K.P.I):~crlf~~crlf~•Business growth and lead conversion (top line development)~crlf~•Relationship management ~crlf~•Compliance with underwriting requirements and objectives~crlf~•Customer satisfaction and retention (e.g. Net Promoter Score)~crlf~•Achievement of service levels per segment~crlf~~crlf~
