Director of Claims
Allianz Partners has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Claims in our North American headquarters. The successful candidate will manage the entire claims group for the US, and have the opportunity to drive innovation, with a high priority placed on transformation through technology and processes. The Director of Claims will have responsibility over all claims functions, ensuring claims are made in compliance with policies and regulations, while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
##Direct all operational aspects of the claims department, including successful execution of all claim related processes, tracking and analysis of budgets, department performance, managing project plans, coordinating quality assurance and promoting interdepartmental communications.~crlf~##Lead ongoing/ long term strategy for claims and drive continuous improvements across all dimensions of claims. This includes technology innovation, organizational structure, end to end customer experience/ process transformation across and within all channels~crlf~##Leverage data and analytics to influence where improvements and change are required~crlf~##Collaborate with corporate partners including other business units across the globe to ensure alignment with long term vision for claims, influencing as appropriate~crlf~##Balance and manage external and internal client needs and expectations with customer service and internal capabilities.~crlf~##Achieve all statistical service standards for claims, quality, productivity and budget, including appropriate scores on all customer satisfaction and net promoter surveys.~crlf~##Responsible for overall effectiveness and efficient resolution of all claims and ensure claims are being reviewed and resolved in a timely manner.~crlf~##Oversee payments for financial accuracy in compliance with the policy benefits on claim payments.~crlf~##Oversee claims inventory and ensure timely distribution and review in cooperation with department manager(s).~crlf~##Serve as a mentor by providing coaching, career development, and inter-departmental relationship management for the claims team and all claim related activities~crlf~##Identify and research broken processes and pertinent client issues; develop, recommend and implement improvements in collaboration with other departments.~crlf~##Plan and facilitate team meetings to share important customer, product, policy or procedural information to enhance department communication and resolution of customer inquiries.~crlf~##Attend client calibration meetings to identify areas for improved customer service and communicate those improvements to the department manager.~crlf~##Accountable for effective implementation of new program launches for department.~crlf~~crlf~
##Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or a combination of relevant education and work experience.~crlf~##Seven (7) years experience in claims leadership.~crlf~##Experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, preferred.~crlf~##Process engineering background preferred, with a LEAN and/or Six Sigma certification helpful. ~crlf~##Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), preferred.~crlf~##We are looking for an analytical thinker with experience using data to drive decisions.~crlf~~crlf~
