The Enterprise Information Architect (EIA) partners with executives, business owners, data stewards, and IT leadership to ensure alignment of the IT change agenda with the Data/Information Strategy. The EIA supports the Data Office and related implementation of Data Governance strategies within the Allianz Life SDLC and Data Architecture. The EIA works with the Executive Leadership team and Data Office, to build a culture of treating data and information as a true business asset, as well as to contribute IT maturity necessary to promote the concept. The EIA is expected to support enterprise-wide data quality improvements by applying permanent quality improvement methods. Participates in maturing the Enterprise Architecture practice, partners with Allianz Life demand management and funding for IT solutions, leads and participates in impact analysis for planned change agenda, Analyzes, plans for adoption and defines the business case for new technologies and/or solutions, defines the impacted elements of IT solutions Portfolio, analyze change impact and proposes mitigation of inherent risks.

Key Responsibilities:~crlf~• Support Data Governance, Glossary Development, Lineage Development, and Ontology Development with the Data Office and Data Services. Drive awareness and acceptance by business partners and within IT, mobilize stakeholders’ support for data governance enforcement and SDLC enablement ~crlf~• Drive and Enable Business Information Domain ownership, in alignment with Allianz Life’s Business Capability Model, in conjunction with the Data Office and Records Management~crlf~• Analyze project, program, and portfolio needs, determine the resources needed to achieve objectives and overcome cross-functional barriers to data quality~crlf~• Collaborates with business capability owners and BRDs (Business Relationship Directors) in demand management by defining the impact of changes to information and data, participate in preliminary estimates by defining impacted data and dependencies, estimating the expected cost and benefits of changes~crlf~• Participate in the pre-project study and provides the Information Architecture input to preliminary solution definition~crlf~• Serves as a liaison with Privacy and Security officers, providing them with an overview of business changes that could impact privacy and security of the data, provides input to data classification and data security needs~crlf~• During the SDLC process, collaborate with other Enterprise Architects in the definition of EA recommendations by articulating data/Information discovery chapters, provides subject matter expertise, analyzes the impact of change requests, and tracks the architecture alignment~crlf~• Responsible for inclusion of Allianz SE (international parent) shared services in information and data domains in local solutions whenever the business case enables it. Provides feedback to shared services on local needs and SLAs necessary to implement the architecture that relies on those shared services~crlf~• Lead definition of solutions/technology roadmaps dependent on data technologies. Tracks the maturity of Information/data capabilities and collaborates with owners to define gap closures in Information/data architecture domain~crlf~• Responsible for tracking the new solution’s impact on the complexity of the overall portfolio, proposes the simplifications in the Information/data domain~crlf~• Work with internal and external partners to develop data quality guidelines and service level agreements, perform data profiling and quality reviews measuring adherence to guidelines and procedures, and ensure consistent and coherent implementation across information domains and data sources~crlf~• Enhance decision making utilizing tools such as business information models to provide the company with a future state view of the information landscape~crlf~• Championing efforts to improve business performance through enterprise information solutions and capabilities, such as master data management (MDM), metadata management, ontology development, and use, analytics, data virtualization, data integration, and related information management or information infrastructure components. Create more value from the data by exploring the impact of business strategy changes on information management practices~crlf~

Key Requirements and Skills:~crlf~• 5 years or more of progressive experience in developing and enforcing the Data Governance, data architect capacity, documenting and designing systems, data modeling in IT Solutions portfolios ~crlf~• Knowledge of Financial Services/Insurance (Annuities, Life) core systems, processes, and industry models (ACORD, DTCC, etc.)~crlf~• Progressive track record in enterprise-wide data quality improvements, data integrations, enterprise data dictionary definition and implementations, enterprise ontology development~crlf~• In-depth experience in designing and implementing information solutions. Information classification and data-modeling expertise at the enterprise level~crlf~• Familiarity with MDM, BI, DW, data vault design and implementation techniques ~crlf~• Data modeling tools (Erwin), data profiling, metadata management, data lineage, data change capture tools.~crlf~• Familiarity with Enterprise Data Governance Solutions (Informatica Axon, Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog, and Informatica Data Quality)~crlf~• Familiarity with Data Virtualization solutions (Denodo, TIBCO)~crlf~• Familiarity with Enterprise Business Intelligence solutions (COGNOS, PowerBI)~crlf~• Ability to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needs~crlf~• Enterprise-level knowledge of columnar and/or key/value structures: cloud, distributed, in-memory or web analytics (Microsoft Azure, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle Exadata, NoSql, MongoDB, Exasol)~crlf~• Hands-on experience implementing data and analytics management programs is preferred~crlf~• Strong communication, facilitation, and persuasion skills, including the ability to create marketing and messaging materials that meet stakeholder preferences~crlf~
