AIM Quantitative Principals have significant financial responsibility and are involved in many different aspects of insurance product hedging. Principals may research new hedging strategies or help develop new valuation models. Principals participate in daily hedging operations by running daily production tasks that include portfolio valuation, market data review and portfolio management. Principals assist in software development and testing, data analysis, and P&L calculations. A Quantitative Principal typically manages 0-2 junior employees or interns. Work is moderately directed and lightly supervised. Principals may be accountable for vital business elements such as portfolios, production processes, client relations, or software systems.
