Allianz Global Investors is seeking a self-starter to join its Global Marketing & Communications team. This New York-based role will sit within US Communications and report directly to the regional team lead. The ideal candidate is interested in gaining communications experience and exposure to the asset management industry at one of the world’s leading investment management firms. This role will support both internal and external communications in employee engagement, media relations, and social media efforts, working with a team of global colleagues, US leadership, HR, IT, and office services.~crlf~~crlf~Responsibilities include:~crlf~## Assist with building and protecting AllianzGI’s brand in the US market by researching, identifying, and maintaining lists of key media outlets and contacts for the firm’s various business channels ~crlf~## Proactively distribute investment insights and research to key journalists across national, international, and financial trade press to promote awareness of the firm’s capabilities and offerings ~crlf~## Create and manage calendar of interview pipeline, pending and secured press coverage~crlf~## Track latest reporter and publication changes, including new columns or sections launched, to suggest alternative press engagement opportunities~crlf~## Research and maintain lists of conferences, speaking engagements, magazine editorial calendars, and award submissions to track deadlines and participate as suitable ~crlf~## Create media briefing documents and coverage reports to prepare for and support press interviews ~crlf~## Actively package and promote suitable content for AllianzGI’s social media channels~crlf~## Support in planning and scheduling logistics, invitations, and engagement for events such as employee Town Halls, Lunch & Learns, Open Forums, celebratory/seasonal parties, media roundtables, and receptions~crlf~## Support the sourcing and publishing of critical office announcements, internally on local intranet pages and employee emails in addition to in-office monitor slides and posters ~crlf~## Assist creative services and design team in the production of communications materials, including branded announcements and posters~crlf~
## Entry-level candidate with experience and interest in communications. ~crlf~## Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field. ~crlf~## Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook required. ~crlf~## Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with ability to adapt to different audiences and be a resourceful thinker. ~crlf~## Collaborative team-player, self-starter, multi-tasker, with detail-oriented work ethic. ~crlf~## Ability to support and manage senior executives and complex calendars preferred; comfort working with people at all organizational levels required. ~crlf~## Interest in investment management, financial services and current affairs required. ~crlf~## Desire to learn and support media relations, employee and conference event planning/execution, social media/digital efforts, and communications materials creation, including research/reporting.~crlf~## Bilingual English and Spanish speaker preferred (but not required) to support Latin America business. ~crlf~~crlf~
