This team is small but very entrepreneurial and successful in working sustainably to grow the business in the region. Over the past 5 years we have developed our franchise in Iberia, grown the number of clients and diversified our book of business (approx. 6,5bn AuM currently). We have focused on Wholesale clients, B2B, i.e. Fund managers, pension plan managers, fund pickers at private banks, discretionary portfolio managers for HNWIs or affluent individuals.etc. We have not fully developed the B2B2C part of the business and that is what we now need to do. We have a very appealing product range for retail clients (i.e. thematic funds, SDG-linked funds, etc). You will capitalize on previous work done, and keep growing the retail client base and business. In addition we need you to also develop a specific product and marketing offering for those clients. You will work very closely with the rest of the team plus other teams such as marketing.

## The Retail business developer is responsible for building Allianz Global Investors' book of business with retail clients (banking distribution networks, financial advisors, EAFIs, etc) in Iberia (mainly Spain) ~crlf~## Establish new, and where applicable retain and expand existing long-term relationships with decision makers within the retail segment~crlf~## Identify new areas for business expansion (i.e. organic growth, distribution partnerships)~crlf~## Strengthen the AllianzGI brand in Iberia by introducing products, services and solutions that align our capabilities with client requirements within the Retail segment, ensuring that you position AllianzGI as a preferred global Asset Manager~crlf~## Develop a broad-based understanding of clients’ investment objectives and trends and understand regulations within the segment ~crlf~## Source and deliver products, solutions and papers that deliver and demonstrate forward-thinking insights and reemphasize Allianz GI’s position as a provider of innovative asset management solutions and global thought leadership ~crlf~## Train the networks on the selected AGI’s products and help retail clients develop their business~crlf~## Partner with colleagues across European sales peers, product specialists, portfolio managers, marketing and sales support teams to pro-actively initiate and support the development of targeted and tailored solutions, products and services ~crlf~## Consistent and comprehensive use of CRM tools to manage client base.~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~

## At least 7 years of professional experience working in a distribution/sales capacity with a focus on retail clients within the asset management or financial services industry~crlf~## Familiar with capital markets, portfolio construction/management, regulatory frameworks and requirements in the area of responsibility~crlf~## Thorough understanding of investment markets and associated products across the broad spectrum of investment strategies ~crlf~## A strong and demonstrated ability to sell; be create in identify business opportunities, initiate contact and close new business~crlf~## Past success navigating complex selling and stakeholder environments to deliver segment growth ~crlf~## Fluent in Spanish and English. Portuguese would be a nice-to-have~crlf~## Post-graduate degree or global equivalent in finance, economics, or business~crlf~~crlf~## As much as your professional skills, we value your personality.
