Senior Actuarial Analyst (m/f/d) - Closing and Forecasting, located in Munich or Hamburg
We are looking for a motivated and investigative seasoned actuary with excellent balance sheet understanding. Your primary focus in this role is the correct and timely delivery of actuarial KPIs and balance sheet positions, particularly in IFRS4, SII and HGB legislation. You will contribute to enhancing quality, checks, and controls in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and reporting process. You will present and explain insights and understanding of the results within the actuarial team and key stakeholders in other functions, particularly Accounting and Planning & Performance Management.~crlf~ ~crlf~You will be working as a Senior Actuarial Analyst in the Global Actuarial Closing and Forecasting Team, which is part of CFO Actuarial in AGCS. You will report to the Head of Global Closing and Forecasting and be based in Munich or Hamburg. You will ensure that the team leader can focus on strategic matters by processing delegable tasks.
In this role you will …~crlf~##Support the team leader to deliver correct, in time, and well-understood actuarial KPIs and balance sheet positions within the closing, forecasting, and planning processes in different legislative environments, particularly IFRS4, SII, and HGB.~crlf~##Enhance quality, checks, and controls in the processes.~crlf~##Promote close collaboration and interaction within the team and the various key stakeholders, particularly in Accounting and Planning & Performance Management, to foster mutual understanding of how business developments impact actuarial drivers in the financials.~crlf~##Drive innovation and efficiency in all our processes, particularly to improve forecasts' quality, achieving high predictability.~crlf~##Prepare professional, high-standard actuarial reports.~crlf~##Peer review works from other team members and provides training and guidance to junior colleagues.~crlf~##Provide documentation of processes, checks, and controls.~crlf~
##Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant P&C insurance areas, ideally actuarial reserving or technical accounting, with significant IFRS4, HGB, or Solvency II experience.~crlf~##Excellent tertiary qualification (ideally Master), preferably in Mathematics, Statistics or other appropriate discipline or qualified by experience in a related discipline.~crlf~##Progress towards a recognized professional qualification, actuarial, CFA, or MBA.~crlf~##Proven experience in the execution and enhancement of closing and reporting processes.~crlf~##Proven experience in communication of results to stakeholders.~crlf~##Proven experience in an international working environment (incl. business trips).~crlf~
