  • Job Purpose/ Role

    The Sr Property Risk Consulting Engineer is responsible for providing loss control expertise, support and assistance to AGCS and its customers, to assist Allianz Account Engineering and Underwriting in risk evaluation of accounts. In addition the Sr Property Risk Consulting Engineer will:~crlf~##Provide ongoing co-ordination and monitoring of the loss control activity / servicing of assigned accounts & loss control survey work to assist with servicing of assigned accounts. ~crlf~##Develop and maintain professional working relationships with underwriting, MMC, claims, clients and brokers. ~crlf~##Maintain and enhance technical skills and expertise in respective field to support the business.

  • Key Responsibilities

    ##Risk Assessment: ~crlf~Support independently large clients or clients with complex business. Complete risk assessments and plan reviews for underwriting and insureds, evaluating and summarizing exposures and controls.~crlf~##Consulting Services:~crlf~Survey large client operations in all business areas, obtain appropriate data, identify hazards, discuss findings with appropriate parties. Generate loss control reports, recommendations etc.~crlf~##Services Guidance:~crlf~Work effectively on assignments strictly adhering to the Account Servicing Instructions. Directs for technical areas the Account Engineers developing Account Servicing Instruction. ~crlf~##Survey Analysis:~crlf~Generate loss control reports, recommendations, confirmation letters etc. as a result of site visits. Meet reporting deadlines in accordance with departmental performance objectives.~crlf~##Projects & training:~crlf~Assist AGCS and clients with respect to ongoing or specific projects. Participation in global expert groups. Execution Interregional ARC projects of a complex nature. Development and roll out of advanced training material. Develops and provides bespoke client solutions.

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    ##Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or other Engineering type discipline. Other discipline will be considered in conjunction with extensive technical expertise or experience in the HPR insurance industry.~crlf~##Minimum of 10 Years engineering experience in HPR type insurance environment.~crlf~##Minimum 3 years experience handling property account surveys for Semiconductor or Chemical Accounts. Or have a Semiconductor or Chemical Engineering background~crlf~##Society of Fire Protection Engineer (CFPS), Professional Engineer (PE) designation, Member of NFPA preferred.~crlf~##Demonstrated engineering/technical expertise in fire protection/loss control atmosphere.~crlf~##Strong familiarity with Fire Protection guidelines via either FM, IRI, or applicable NFPA codes. Commitment to maintaining knowledge of developments and new technologies in field.~crlf~##Expertise within ARC (Global Expert Group) in an one area and advanced technical knowledge in many other areas. Advanced insurance & UW knowledge.~crlf~##Strong familiarity with basic computer operation and skills highlighted in Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes or Windows email environment.~crlf~##Ability to work effectively in home office and team environments.~crlf~##Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in a varied environment. Lead ARC training sessions on complex subjects for major clients and international ARC audience.~crlf~##Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in a varied environment. Lead ARC training sessions on complex subjects for major clients and international ARC audience.
