  • Job Purpose/ Role

    Manages product development projects. Responsible for management of enhancements, maintenance, and investment option related activities for Allianz products. Accountable for adherence to and management of the overall product development process for these activities. Typical workload includes 3 to 10 product related initiatives involving up to 9~crlf~separate business areas. The product development activities will have a direct impact on the overall sales and distribution of our organization.

  • Key Responsibilities

    * Direct and manage product development projects from beginning to end. Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and key stakeholders.~crlf~* Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks and issues, and devise mitigation and contingency plans. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements document~crlf~* Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Track project milestones and deliverables. Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project ~crlf~* Develop detailed business project plans and schedules. Review with business partners and agree on commitment.~crlf~* Conduct formal review with management sponsor at the completion of the product and provide team with constructive feedback as it pertains to the overall development and implementation.~crlf~* Coach or mentor less experienced team members.

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    Experience:~crlf~* 6-7 years experience required: At least 5 years of project management and/or program management.~crlf~* 8-10 years experience preferred: PMP, Series 6 or 7, and demonstrated success delivering complex projects.~crlf~~crlf~Education~crlf~* Four-year degree required: Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience~crlf~* Advanced degree preferred: MBA~crlf~~crlf~Licenses/Certifications/Other~crlf~* PMP or equivalent required upon reaching certification eligibility requirement or ability to obtain within 360 days of employment for internal hires; external hires are required to obtain certification within 180 days of employment.
