##Underwrite profitable new and renewal business to meet Environmental targets locally/regionally;~crlf~##Negotiation of participation, pricing and terms and conditions;~crlf~##Ownership of accounts/clients;~crlf~##Training and development of team and referral point for other underwriters; and~crlf~##Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients.
##Underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom line targets (local and/or regional). ~crlf~##Negotiate participation, pricing and terms and conditions with brokers. ~crlf~##Proactively manage capacity.~crlf~##Underwrite and evaluate Natural Catastrophe Accumulation, ensuring an understanding of catastrophe modelling and interpretation of scenarios for Environmental business. ~crlf~##Underwrite International Insurance Programs for Environmental business.~crlf~##Underwrite in line with Environmental governance framework (e.g., Underwriting Authorities, global MSU, Underwriting Guidelines, and Rules and Principles).~crlf~##Ensure contract certainty is achieved on all accounts at time of inception.~crlf~##Ensure utilization of global pricing tools.~crlf~##Ensure placing and binding of FAC Reinsurance prior to policy inception.~crlf~##Ensure accurate policy documentation issued to broker (where AGCS responsibility to do so) or broker has issued documentation (where broker responsibility).~crlf~##Ensure file is established (whether electronic or paper) and maintained for each risk and transaction handled.~crlf~##Proactively support completion of policy administration and credit control processes.~crlf~##Support development and execution of regional Underwriting strategy for Environmental business regionally.~crlf~##Train, develop and coach less experienced staff (including junior underwriters, operations, and credit control).~crlf~##Manage standard referrals from underwriters and spokes and re-underwrite complex business as appropriate.~crlf~##Delegate work as appropriate.~crlf~##Proactively support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including client and broker negotiations where necessary).~crlf~##Proactively liaise with MMC on market management initiatives.~crlf~##Positively represent AGCS externally to the market.~crlf~##Proactively drive involvement of functional areas in Underwriting process, including MMC, ARC, Claims, and Operations.~crlf~##Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and clients and other relevant stakeholders (e.g., risk managers).~crlf~~crlf~
##Proven track record in underwriting profitable Environmental business;~crlf~##Good understanding of Environmental products and portfolio;~crlf~##Demonstrable, established relationships with brokers at peer group level and established within market;~crlf~##Good understanding of regional/ local Environmental insurance markets and competitor landscape;~crlf~##Understanding of legal and regulatory framework;~crlf~##Experience working in a complex, global matrix organization;~crlf~##Ability to assess risk inherent exposures and natural hazards relevant to Environmental business;~crlf~##Analyze current performance against benchmarks applying how the market operates and functions, the business needs and customer needs;~crlf~##Design, develop and implement consistent, robust contract wordings;~crlf~##Robust understanding of policy administration life cycle, information collection, policy issuance, premium bookings, credit control, and cancellation;~crlf~##Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally;~crlf~##Ability to "sell" an improvised or prepared audience winning story;~crlf~##Ability to persuade and motivate others to act without executive authority;~crlf~##Ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; ~crlf~##Identify and resolve issues before they transpire;~crlf~##Ability to persuade and motivate others to act without executive authority; and~crlf~##Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Economics, Finance, Insurance Management, or Business Administration.~crlf~~crlf~
