    Reporting to the Regional Head of Commercial Underwriting, The Technical Product Underwriter is a technical underwriting expert responsible for the maintenance and roll out and harmonization of the Core Wordings throughout the Region, working closely with local CUW teams and Group CUW. Primary focus is on the management of the product suite, focussing on simplification ,harmonisation and maintaining a balanced approach between local product teams and the group strategies. This includes the drafting of new products and clauses and the management of the Clause Validation process

  • Key Responsibilities

    Management and harmonisation of core products~crlf~- Ensuring Regional consistency of the Product Libraries and Product Offer, supported by the creation and Management of a Regional Core Wording & Endorsement Library (in line with Group CUW) to ensure consistency of products and database of key changes and differentials~crlf~- Work with the Compass Project Team to launch the new Group wording and PA systems throughout the Northern Europe Region~crlf~- Work with the local BU's and Group functions in order to drive and support product structuration, harmonisation and simplification within the timeframes required under the Group strategy~crlf~- Ensure a common approach across the local Product teams by supporting them as part of the Group strategy~crlf~- Actively participating in cross regional & local ‘Product Squads’ for product enhancements~crlf~- Working with the Commercial Product underwriter to launch new products and enhance existing products (including the support on Digital products) as part of a local BU product squad.~crlf~- CUW Management for the roll out of other core and speciality products across the Region as and when required. ~crlf~Commercial Underwriting~crlf~- Support with Technical Trainings where required as part of the Regional and Group training plan and core product roll outs~crlf~- Underwriting of Regional Deal Requests (New Business and Renewal) and support with complex or large deals~crlf~- Review and Drafting or clauses where required to support products and new business alongside the Group Vladiation Process~crlf~Communication and Relationships~crlf~- Ensuing close co-operation & communication with Local and Group CUW and other function with regard to product wordings~crlf~- Support BU’s in negotiating solutions to remove complexity from the portfolio
