  • Job Purpose/ Role

    Prepare General Ledger entries and account reconciliations for review/approval. Determine appropriate accounting treatment for new or existing transactions. Assist Manager of General Accounting with other accounting control and support functions. Perform other accounting control and support functions as requested. Ability to assist with higher level projects and YE audit schedules.

  • Key Responsibilities

    ## Review monthly journal entries involving balance sheet and income statement accounts.~crlf~## Review account reconciliations for designated balance sheet asset and liability accounts for multiple companies for review/approval.~crlf~## Supervise and review the work of the less experienced Accountants.~crlf~## Work efficiently with other departments to obtain adequate required support for journal entries and reconciliations prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices sufficient to pass audit scrutiny.~crlf~## Apply the consistent exercise of professional discretion, skepticism and judgment in preparation/review of account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of work.~crlf~## Provide support and assistance to other departments regarding general ledger entries.~crlf~## Prepare and provide guidance for year-end audit schedule preparation.~crlf~##Support Accounting Manager with all internal audit requirements.~crlf~## Maintain efficient workflow and distribution of duties assigned.~crlf~## Assist in monthly financial statement generation and distribution.~crlf~## May perform other duties as assigned.

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    ## Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required. ~crlf~## Three to five years of experience working in a financial environment. ~crlf~## Prior experience working with a General Ledger is preferred.~crlf~## Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation REQUIRED.~crlf~## Public experience preferred.
