Senior Vulnerability Analsyt
The Vulnerability Analyst role is a key position within the end to end process of vulnerability management. The role will be responsible for creating mitigation plans, remediation manifests, and changes for all security vulnerabilities. The role will work closely with internal and customer patch teams as well as the internal Vulnerability scanning team to ensure all vulnerabilities are remediated as quickly as possible.
• Analyze identified vulnerabilities and determine remediation actions and activities. ~crlf~• Coordinate with internal and external customers as needed for impact analysis and testing of vulnerability remediation.~crlf~~crlf~• Create an action plan for all identified vulnerabilities and track efforts to closing requirements ~crlf~• Create patch manifests and change tickets for vulnerability remediation. ~crlf~• Distribute manifest and action plan to patch and remediation teams ~crlf~• Support, monitor and track performance of implementation teams. ~crlf~• Create and maintain process documentation. ~crlf~• Ensure accuracy of data used in the vulnerability management process.~crlf~~crlf~• Perform and implement continual service improvement activities.~crlf~
Minimum Requirements:~crlf~• 6-7 years experience required: ~crlf~• In-depth technical knowledge associated with current network, Operating systems and security hardware, software, protocols and Internet standards including Windows, Linux, UNIX, routers, firewalls, switches, workstations, and various IT and Business applications.~crlf~• Functional knowledge of existing information technology products, including networks and infrastructure related tools (ServiceNow, Splunk, Qualys, SCCM, etc.) as well as working with vulnerability and compliance management solutions.~crlf~~crlf~• Four-year degree: Technology or Cyber Security field Education: Bachelor's in IT or IT related field or equivalent combination of education or experience required.~crlf~• Must be able to extract, analyze and document complex business and technical requirements/strategies from customers and IT members. Must be a conceptual and analytical thinker.~crlf~• Must communicate clearly both verbally and in writing to team members, be comfortable with coordination, collaboration and communication with remotely deployed team members.~crlf~• Work well with customers to bring together requirements and ensure implementation of vulnerability and compliance management solutions.~crlf~• Use ITIL Service Request, Incident, Risk, Problem, and Change Management principles to optimize and reduce risks within IT systems, particularly as it relates to security.~crlf~• Knowledge applying security principles as it relates to IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance.~crlf~• Understanding of SANS Critical Security Controls (CSC).~crlf~• Moderate knowledge of penetration techniques.~crlf~• Create action items, processes and technical solutions that enable the company to meet business goals as well as customer regulatory requirements. Review, assess and mitigate internal and external threats to company information.~crlf~• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.~crlf~• Developing documentation with processes and procedures.~crlf~• Understanding of business processes supporting IT programs, networks, and/or cybersecurity programs.~crlf~• Understanding of life cycle testing principles.~crlf~
