Category Manager. Cloud, Data Center and Workplace
The Category Manager will execute sourcing and vendor management projects that range from simple to complex, with end to end responsibility, including but not limited to – sourcing requests validation per stakeholder requirements, requirements analysis for RFx’s , communicating with stakeholders to close any data gaps, prepare and publish the RFx to the identified suppliers, following up with suppliers to ensure adequate participation, and summarizing proposals back to the requestor, and working with the legal team to ensure a robust agreement that hold suppliers accountable for performance is executed.
•Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships with regional and global Allianz Technology Business Units, Operating Entities and Group.~crlf~•Partnering with stakeholders to ensure their requirements are incorporated in sourcing strategies and corresponding supplier statements of work.~crlf~~crlf~•Deep knowledge of the aforementioned categories, responsible for education of the benefits and risks of the technologies and suppliers in the categories so as to educate stakeholders and be a trusted advisor.~crlf~•Building and maintaining a category view, complete with financial and market analysis of supplier’s products and/or services within said categories, in close alignment with global peers.~crlf~•Strong communicator, focused on building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and global peers.~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~•Identify opportunities, issues, market conditions, and economic indicators, including upcoming contract expiration, and action plans, to realize cost reductions and sourcing opportunities.~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~•Lead Cross-functional teams in the development of qualitative and quantitative criteria for supplier selection~crlf~•Deep knowledge of contract terms and conditions, pricing and discounts, and establishment of service level agreements that hold suppliers accountable for performance.~crlf~~crlf~
Minimum Requirements:~crlf~•6-7 years of experience required: Sourcing/Procurement/Contracting experience~crlf~•Knowledge of contract types, sourcing methods and procedures, performance incentives, contract law, and technology.~crlf~•Four-year degree required: Bachelor's Degree or CPM Certificate or equivalent work experience~crlf~~crlf~Preferred:~crlf~•8-10 years of experience preferred: Sourcing/Procurement/Contracting experience~crlf~•Advanced degree preferred: MBA, Master of Management or Law Degree~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~
