  • Job Purpose/ Role

    The Head of IT Delivery will lead a team of highly skilled and motivated infrastructure, security and development resources with the responsibility to deliver and maintain a range of IT services to Allianz Operating Entities (OE’s) both in Ireland and globally within the Allianz Partners countries.~crlf~The role is also instrumental to the completion of the transformation of the IT landscape and services Allianz Technology provides to its customers within the global framework of Allianz standardized products and services. ~crlf~The successful candidate will deal with the dynamic challenges of the multicultural business environment, as well as shaping the global solutions to the specific local/regional business needs. This will involve the cross border business and collaboration between multiple teams working in different countries. ~crlf~The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately 140 people, distributed across Dublin, Dubai and India (Trivandrum).

  • Key Responsibilities

    ##Manage the delivery and operations of all Allianz Technology IT services for the Allianz OEs in Ireland~crlf~##Manage stakeholders relationship with Allianz Technology Ireland Customer top management and guarantee continuous and effective reporting to the Regional Head of IT Europe2 and to the wider Allianz Technology management community~crlf~##Proactively support the transformation from local services to standard services; collaborate with the Regional Head of IT Europe2 for 3rd Party Management and review contract agreements relating to the decommissioning of local legacy systems and manage the related contractual impact in multiple countries~crlf~##Ensure the evolution of the system supporting the Allianz Care business model will always be adherent to Allianz Technology standard, architecture guidelines and priorities~crlf~##Be responsible to make sure Allianz Technology revenues and costs will meet the defined targets, will be managed transparently and will be reported to the Regional Head of IT Europe2 and to the central controlling functions in a timely manner~crlf~##Ensure service provisioning to Allianz Operating Entities will be aligned with the Allianz Technology standard processes, tailored where needed to the specific need of individual business model~crlf~##Support the delivery of business IT innovation through close collaboration with operational/functional leaders and the Senior Management of the Business Unit as well as other key stakeholders (e.g. Regional Head of IT Europe2, Allianz Partner Organizational Management etc, Customer Solution Group head, AZ Technology Branch head)~crlf~ ~crlf~Further responsibilities ~crlf~##Manage knowledge transfer in international level of critical know-how and capability building to support ongoing operational stability of the remaining local services and systems~crlf~##Align IT risk management with enterprise risk management; responsible for Disaster Recovery and the Business Continuity Plan for IT~crlf~##Resource management to optimize IT capacity to support the implementation of standard services, as well as manage the knowledge transfer for the preparation and migration to standard services, especially if there is any HR impact~crlf~##Develop international IT departmental goals, objectives and operating procedures ~crlf~##Oversee recruitment, development, retention and supervision of the IT employees on a global scale

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    a)Qualification, Certification and Experiences~crlf~##Very good academic degree, preferably in IT, engineering or business administration; a further qualification (e.g. MBA, PhD) would be beneficial~crlf~ ~crlf~b)Skills and Competencies~crlf~##Extensive relevant work experience which includes managing an IT operation~crlf~##Experience in delivering large projects (>2500 man days) with international teams with the application of Agile methodology on a large scale~crlf~##Experience in leading multiple international and virtual teams; solid collaboration and negotiation skills to manage the complex interdependencies of multiple key stakeholders on local and group level~crlf~##Experience in demand management from the provider’s point of view and planning; budget and cost controlling and preparation for the Strategic and Planning Dialogue~crlf~##Experience in IT service delivery management, lifecycle management of IT solutions for the remaining local services~crlf~##Very good business English (oral and written), additional language skills are highly appreciated
