    Group Regulatory and Public Affairs is a center of competence and central coordinator for all regulatory and political management activities in the Allianz Group. The department supports local Allianz companies with regard to regulatory and political strategy, oversees and coordinates regulatory and political topics within the Group, and holds responsibility for global and European regulatory topics. ~crlf~~crlf~We are seeking a Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager (m/f/d) - Digitalization, covering topics such as data protection and use, artificial intelligence, financial innovation, cyber risk and insurance. The executive management role includes the identification of relevant regulatory developments primarily on EU and global levels, impact analysis, alignment with internal and external stakeholders as well as active engagement in the regulatory process.

  • Key Responsibilities

    Steer the regulatory practice "Digitalization" across the Allianz Group, which includes:~crlf~## Monitoring laws and regulations in the field of digitalization relevant for financial services / insurance, and identifying regulatory trends which become relevant for the Group within the next 1-3 years;~crlf~## Analyzing regulatory intend and strategic implications for the Group;~crlf~## Steering the development of Group positions in close alignment with business units and operating entities of the Group;~crlf~## Developing strategies for constructive engagement with regulators and policymakers, e.g. through formal submissions, regular dialogue and presence at high-level symposia or business circles;~crlf~## Participating in working groups and committees with industry peers and public sector representatives;~crlf~## Guiding and coordinating between operating entities and Group; advising operating entities as needed;~crlf~## Providing regulatory updates and briefings for the Board of Management and senior management.

  • Key Requirements/ Skills

    Qualification:~crlf~## A Master's degree in Business Administration, Law, Business Informatics, or Data Science / Data Protection;~crlf~## Excellent command of German and English (written and spoken).~crlf~~crlf~Experience & Key skills:~crlf~## 5+ years of experience dealing with different aspects of technological innovation/digitalization gained from a global organization, consultancy, FinTech or law firm;~crlf~## Good understanding and working knowledge of the regulatory framework governing digitalization as well as the EU legislative procedure;~crlf~## Good knowledge of financial services business models and products, in particular insurance; work experience at Allianz would be a plus;~crlf~## Strong verbal and written communications skills;~crlf~## Effective collaboration skills with the ability to interact with regulators, policy makers and senior leadership (CxO's);~crlf~## Effective problem solving and decision making skills;~crlf~## Capacity to proactively taking the initiative and working independently;~crlf~## Prior experience steering multiple stakeholders at different levels and from different backgrounds.
