Senior Project Manager
The role is responsible for clarifying the business needs, planning and implementation of process and IT system changes, increasing levels of digitalization to achieve growth and enhance customer experience.~crlf~The role requires close working relationships with project owners/sponsors, business stakeholders, local IT and global digital teams.~crlf~ You will be responsible for managing initiatives through the full value chain, ensuring projects are delivered within scope, time, and budget and to quality in an agile environment.~crlf~The job holder will be responsible for ensuring that project objectives and deliverables are clearly identified and documented, and risks/issues are managed for early resolution, minimizing impact on project delivery.~crlf~Ensuring digital solutions are aligned to group strategy and designed for re-use across the region/globally
Business Analysis~crlf~•~crlf~Identify areas for improvement, understand the business need, specify requirements and implement recommendations to improve the efficiency of current processes and increase levels of digitalization ~crlf~•~crlf~Assist the business stakeholders in prioritising business requirements and defining new business processes~crlf~•~crlf~Actively support business lines in identifying value and benefit of the initiative (ROI)~crlf~•~crlf~Perform root cause analysis of problems, lead workshops and work closely with business users to identify and translate their needs into business requirements~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~Project Delivery~crlf~•~crlf~Define, document and clearly communicate the project scope, objectives and measures~crlf~•~crlf~Work closely with technical team during the full implementation phase to ensure common understanding, agreement and effective implementation of projects. ~crlf~•~crlf~Evaluate risks and issues associated with delivery of a project, developing necessary mitigation strategies~crlf~•~crlf~Communicate in a clear and concise fashion to IT and business stakeholders at all levels during the project lifecycle to gain commitment and minimize the level of resistance to change~crlf~•~crlf~Organize project Steering Committee meetings, updates with global team, regular meetings/con-calls to align the understandings, request for decisions and document meeting outcomes~crlf~•~crlf~Work collaboratively with the IT delivery team, to proactively manage risks, issues and decisions need; Track progress to ensure projects is delivered on time, within scope, and budget ~crlf~•~crlf~Drive deliverables to completion within challenging timelines ensuring collaboration and effective communication with all stakeholders~crlf~•~crlf~Support UAT during all phases of testing to ensure requirements as detailed in the specification document have been delivered and are ready for release~crlf~•~crlf~Work with IT & Business when new functionality is released to production to ensure a smooth transition to the new process. Where necessary devise detailed cut over plans to address potential operational impacts at cutover~crlf~•~crlf~Actively build working relationships with business and IT stakeholders at local, regional and global levels of the organization~crlf~•~crlf~Develop and publish regular project status reports to respective stakeholders at agreed frequency~crlf~~crlf~
Experience~crlf~•~crlf~7-10 years’ experience in IT project delivery~crlf~•~crlf~Experience in Waterfall and/or Agile project methodology, experience in both beneficial~crlf~•~crlf~Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and manage change~crlf~•~crlf~Strong documentation skills, in particular writing detailed requirements specification documents in English for ~crlf~use by development and test teams~crlf~•~crlf~Has worked on both large scale and smaller projects and been responsible for defining and designing business solutions~crlf~•~crlf~Proven ability to effectively manage own time and priorities to meet deadlines~crlf~•~crlf~Experience in IT, Insurance or Automative industries preferred~crlf~•~crlf~Strong Communication (verbal & written) and Interpersonal Skills ~crlf~•~crlf~Ability to work effectively within a team environment ~crlf~•~crlf~A strong and motivational leader, fostering relationships and coaching/ mentoring~crlf~•~crlf~Demonstrable ability to think “outside of the box” and innovate~crlf~•~crlf~Capable of working in a large global organization ~crlf~•~crlf~Fluent in English~crlf~~crlf~Skills~crlf~•~crlf~Advanced customer relationship management skills~crlf~•~crlf~Ability to lead teams across organisations~crlf~•~crlf~Strategic thinking~crlf~•~crlf~Problem solving skills~crlf~•~crlf~Strong internal and external consultation and negotiation skills~crlf~•~crlf~Influencing and conflict resolution skills~crlf~•~crlf~Proven ability to prioritise workload and meet agreed timeframes~crlf~•~crlf~Ability to work in a fast paced environment~crlf~•~crlf~Collaborative approach to change management~crlf~~crlf~Knowledge~crlf~•~crlf~Knowledge of Microsoft Project~crlf~•~crlf~Knowledge of Project Management methodologies~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~
