Reporting directly to the Chief Actuary of the Allianz Partners sub-group, the successful candidate will manage a team in Richmond to produce actuarial valuations for Accounting, Solvency II and overall Finance purposes for the Travel Insurance businesses in the Americas region. It offers the opportunity to transform the function and directly contribute to the steering and financial performance of the business.~crlf~~crlf~This role operates in a truly international environment and cooperates with related functions and businesses around the globe.~crlf~~crlf~The role requires the strongest combination of up-to-date actuarial know-how for property and casualty insurance with high demands on management skills and excellence in leadership in professional and personnel topics.

Reserving, Regulation & Financial Statements~crlf~##Leading the actuarial function to ensure compliance with all internal, external and professional standards and assume responsibility for adequacy of technical provisions for the assigned business segments.~crlf~##Cooperate with Corporate Actuarial colleagues globally and the wider organization as well as with Allianz Group functions to build, maintain, streamline and strengthen processes, tools, reporting as well as the governance and control framework.~crlf~##Support internal and external audits as well as regulatory procedures and Solvency II key function duties.~crlf~~crlf~Portfolio and profit management~crlf~##Drive technical excellence to create competitive advantage from an actuarial and financial perspective.~crlf~##Empower team members and project groups to build risk modelling, pricing oversight and related monitoring techniques consistent with best practice standards.~crlf~~crlf~Other duties~crlf~##Lead activities to build and continuously strengthen the technical infrastructure and ensure high data quality.~crlf~##Advise on the reinsurance arrangements.~crlf~##Provide technical input into the annual planning exercise.~crlf~##Assist the Finance function in areas such as financial projections, budgeting, statutory reporting and reinsurance accounting.~crlf~##Support and contribute to the risk management of the business.~crlf~~crlf~

##Successful candidates will have a full qualification in a recognized actuarial association with focus on P&C insurance, ideally with FCAS designation, or well on the way to becoming an FCAS.~crlf~##Appropriate professional experience of at least 10 years including substantive experience in a senior role.~crlf~##Diversity in areas of work performed, type of company / business and/or country of employment.~crlf~##Proven experience in managing and effectively influencing in a complex environment, including handling critical subjects and communicating with other senior executives and the Board.~crlf~##Willingness and ability to operate in an international environment with dynamic changes.~crlf~##Excellent leadership in professional and personnel topics.~crlf~~crlf~
