The Director of Accounting and Reporting manages a team that ensures company financial records, under responsibility, are maintained in compliance with company policies and under local GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS, Tax and NAIC statutory financial reporting standards, statutes and internal control.

##Regular, predictable, reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.~crlf~##Coordinate the timely reporting of the monthly and quarterly financial results and supporting schedules to parent company for the Americas region.~crlf~##Responsible for oversight of general ledger account reconciliations and controls under, local GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS, Tax, NY State Insurance Law and NAIC Statutory accounting standards for the US.~crlf~##Support and monitor internal control over financial reporting and identify opportunities for improvement in financial controls for the Americas region.~crlf~##Coordinates work relating to both internal and external audits in the periodic review of the company financial records.~crlf~##Accountable for ensuring that policies and procedures (internal controls) are in place to provide reasonable assurance that the company assets are protected.~crlf~##Develop and deploy solutions to contract management and accounting under US GAAP, IFRS, Tax and NAIC Statutory accounting standards.~crlf~##Prepare responses to regulatory comment letters received related to periodic financial filings.~crlf~##Manages outsourced functions (internal/third party) pertaining to GA for adherence to SLAs, reporting and compliance requirements.~crlf~##Serve as a mentor by providing coaching, career development, and inter-departmental relationship management for the team. ~crlf~##May perform other duties as assigned.~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~

##Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent combination of work and education experience. ~crlf~##Seven (7) to ten (10) years’ experience with three (3) to five (5) years in public accounting.~crlf~##Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.~crlf~##Experience in the insurance/service industry preferred.~crlf~
