Test Automation Engineer Specialist

Responsible for leading Performance test efforts and test resources, including large complex projects/multiple sub-projects across functional areas or multiple systems. This person will plan, design and execute performance tests for all applications across enterprise participating in a particular release. This person works closely and collaboratively with QA team, Project QA members , capability teams, internal and vendor resources, solution architects, database administrators, network monitoring support , to understand and translate non-functional requirements into Performance specifications, conceptual solutions and/or designs and to ensure that projects are delivered with quality by adhering to SDLC processes and ensures solution development process is adhering to process controls . This person will also be required to provide an overall recommendation on the health of the application based on performance test results and analysis.

Planning: ~crlf~~crlf~* Understands the non-functional requirements from the project team; creates the performance recommendation, leads the script design discussions for assigned work and provides consulting and mentoring to other team members for their designs and review sessions, ensuring that the performance solution is viable and designed appropriately to meet the requirements; create solutions for complex/integrated ideas; provide performance estimates and the delivery schedule. for assigned work, review estimates from other team members and create overall delivery schedule in partnership with senior team members.~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~Design/Development/Test: ~crlf~~crlf~* Documents performance requirements, designs for performance solutions, codes/configures utilizing approved performance tools and reviews work done by team members and monitors the progress on their tasks. Create performance test plans, baselines, execute planned tests, identifies the test environment, test data and access needs, analyze test results and call out any discrepancies against the SLA's~crlf~* Publishes performance analysis reports and leads review sessions with all the stakeholders, provides issue resolution and drives escalation, performs maintenance to existing scripts including updating documentation~crlf~* Adheres to the standards with respect to tools, framework, scripting and versioning techniques ~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~ ~crlf~Communication:~crlf~ ~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~ ~crlf~* Ensures daily/weekly status reports are communicated, including progress against milestones, issues and risks are identified and escalated to PM and the team. ~crlf~* Educate teams on performance testing processes, methodology, performance & scalability and the science of testing. ~crlf~* Continuous Improvement: Helps open opportunities to uplift the Performance capability and contributes to their implementation through supporting change, innovation and improvements~crlf~

Experience:~crlf~* 8 -10+ years performance testing and work load modelling experience across various technology platforms (Web-based, web services, MQ, SalesForce, Oracle, CRM systems, mainframe, Java, .Net, client-server apps etc.). ~crlf~* 5+ years of experience in developing and managing performance testing strategies, performance test planning, team management and coordination.~crlf~Advanced knowledge of LoadRunner / Performance Center and network monitoring tools. ~crlf~~crlf~Education~crlf~* Four-year degree required: BS/BA computer science, related discipline, or experience equivalent~crlf~~crlf~Licenses/Certifications/Other~crlf~* HP LoadRunner or related performance tool Certification – Nice to have~crlf~* CSTE/CSQA certifications preferred – Nice to have~crlf~~crlf~
