AREoA makes equity and debt investments in the top 25 metropolitan areas in the U.S. and manages an existing portfolio of direct investments alongside joint venture partners, fund commitments and commercial mortgage loans, amounting to nearly $20 billion.~crlf~~crlf~~crlf~• Active management of Allianz US investment structures for the growing US real estate portfolio (fund and Joint Venture) on behalf of our international investors during the whole investment life-cycle (buy-manage-sell).~crlf~• Preparation of planning data and forecasts for US investment structures/companies by using sound modeling techniques and ensure the reliability, the completeness and the consistency of the planning data.~crlf~• Present financial performance reports to ExCo and investors.~crlf~• Monitor our external investment partners and service providers on costs, taxes, and corporate finance best practice.~crlf~• Control of investment structures including the supervision of external service providers, cash/capital management and collaboration with auditors and tax advisors.~crlf~• Actively drive (re-)financing and restructurings in order to improve financial efficiency of structures.~crlf~• Provision of investment data and returns into various financial (investor) reports including analysis and proper presentation of the output.~crlf~• Interface between internal asset- and investment management, external fund managers, co-investment partners and various Allianz internal stakeholders.~crlf~• Support in the acquisition phase of new US investments, such as negotiation of reporting requirements, specific accounting related requests, funding / capital calls, set up of the investments / structures and processes with internal and external counterparties.~crlf~• Provide support in the ongoing development of the global finance area.~crlf~• Active participation in the ongoing development of the IPC area, in particular: ~crlf~Further development and implementation of effective controlling tools, methods and procedures, active participation in transformational and IT projects within the finance area, ad hoc projects to address pressing issues facing the global IPC function.

• Bachelor or Master Degree in finance and/or real estate (focus on controlling).~crlf~• 3-6 years experience in a comparable position, ideally related to US real estate fund and joint venture investments.~crlf~• Sound knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP (basics of German GAAP are helpful).~crlf~• Knowledge in the application of REIS / INREV standards and guidelines.~crlf~• Experience and know-how of US REIT structures and related tax topics.~crlf~• Knowledge of valuation methodologies in appraising real estate investments.~crlf~• Excellent knowledge of MS Office products, in particular Excel.~crlf~• Beneficial: Modeling know-how of acquisition structures.~crlf~• Spoken and written English skills at negotiation level are a prerequisite.~crlf~• 2nd language is appreciated, in particular German.~crlf~• Global team player with outstanding analytical and conceptual skills.~crlf~• Strong communication skills and persuasive power.~crlf~~crlf~
