We are looking for a motivated, client-focused professional with a good understanding of programming concepts to join our team in supporting online business systems (online applications to purchase annuities or life insurance, and related transactions). This individual will be challenged to build and maintain annuity and insurance products, while focusing equally on ease of use and simplicity for our customers. The successful candidate enjoys problem solving, critical thinking, working in a collaborative team environment and learning about Allianz products and Operations processes. XML is the primary message structure used, along with ACORD, DTCC and several proprietary macro languages.~crlf~~crlf~Researches opportunities and designs business systems solutions and recommendations for achieving operational objectives. Expected to have a thorough understanding of our products and administrative systems as well as being an expert in programming concepts or relevant regulations. Instrumental in implementation of solutions in complex situations.

Researches and analyzes advanced business systems opportunities and develops recommendations to improve accuracy, efficiency and compliance through collaboration with other technical areas.~crlf~~crlf~Manages the design and development of complex applications and/or models essential to successfully delivering on operational obligations. Ensures quality control process is satisfied within team.~crlf~~crlf~Monitors regulations, new product offerings and changes to existing product for impacts to business systems team responsibilities.~crlf~~crlf~Assists with training and development of individuals. Senior reviewer of other’s work.~crlf~~crlf~Participates in key initiatives and special projects as assigned.~crlf~~crlf~Documentation of processes, analysis performed and business systems built or modified.~crlf~~crlf~

Experience:~crlf~4-5 years of experience required: Relevant technical and/or business experience~crlf~6-7 years of experience preferred: Insurance industry operational or business system support role~crlf~~crlf~Education~crlf~Four-year degree required: Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field; or specialized training or equivalent work experience~crlf~~crlf~Licenses/Certifications/Other:~crlf~Advanced technical skills in the areas of: Insurance product features and mechanics; Programming concepts; Knowledge of ACORD standards; Microsoft Excel functionality including Visual Basic for Applications; Relevant regulations ~crlf~~crlf~
